Are you letting your bp bring dates even if they are not in a relationship?

Fi and i are debating the whole guest plus dates thing and we figured that we would let the guest bring a date only if they have been dating for a while ( atleast 6 months plus)

now what about the bridal party? since they are in the bp, should we lift the clause and let them bring a date even if they dont have a boyfriend/girlfriend or are dating someone at the time?

Its complicated with me. Basically ALL my friends are in long standing relationships except two and I feel bad about not inviting those two with dates so I figured what the heck they probably won;t bring one anyways, but I want to give them the option so they do not feel left out. My FH's friends, however, are mostly not in relationships, so he decided he wanted to invite more of his friends and therefore no dates. Does that make any sense?

I think it is whatever works best for you.

My friend who just got married allowed her bp and people who were living together, engaged, or married.
