I know it's no easy to stay on track especially with all the good ideas everyone has on here but what is/was your target and did you stay on? Also, if you went over (how much over?)
If you feel more comfortable with a percentage that's ok too.
No problem if you don't want to answer.

Heck no. We're about $20K over where we thought we would be.

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
I'm actually very pleased and proud of myself!!!
I did go over my original intended budget (which includes wedding rings and the HM), The budget was only exceeded by about 10-15%. Not bad at all!

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
Truly we didn't start out w/ a budget. We started saving in Jan. & all FH's money was going towards the wedding & mine to the bills/rent, etc.
Well, we did a reality check this week & the wedding we figured would be in the range of 35k WITH honeymoon is now up around 50k!!!
Needless to say we have to kick up our saving or we'll be in serious trouble. Right now we would have been about 15k short.
Thankfully FH has a 2nd job he can work some weekends.
I'm still a bit scared b/c I don't want to have to open envelopes to pay for our hm that night. I want us paid in full that day

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
I am already married.
We did pretty well with our budget. (after we revised my first one to reflect New York City reality, not the Knott's version of how expensive thing were going to be). We ended up having more money than we originally thought we would, which allowed us to add some things on like a chocolate fountain.
If money had gotten tight I could have cut a lot (BM gifts, since I also paid for their hair and make up) the fountain, the favors.

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
We're already married and we were actually a few thousand under budget. We got more no's than anticipated so we were budgeted for 125 people and only had 100 (and we only had to guarantee 75). DH's dad ended up paying for the honeymoon & RD. My sister and my mom made the programs, favors, menus, and placecards and they paid for the materials/supplies.
ETA: My parents paid for my dress and alterations so our budget didn't include my attire.

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
I think it will be really hard not to go over budget. Everywhere we look we see new things we 'have' to have. Plus FMIL is DEMANDING!

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
We never set an exact budget for ourselves, but we ballparked that we didn't want to spend more than $30k for everything. We're at about $40k...and still not done! I wish I could push up the date and stop shopping!

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
It looks like we're going to be over by just about 2k - so I'm pretty on budget. My budget does not includes the rings or honeymoon but does include all tax and tips.

Re: Are you on target with your budget?
We'll go over by $15-20,000 than what I thought it would be. I'm so grateful that my parents have been so generous otherwise we'd never pull anything like this off.
