I know it's no easy to stay on track especially with all the good ideas everyone has on here but what is/was your target and did you stay on? Also, if you went over (how much over?)
If you feel more comfortable with a percentage that's ok too.

so far, we are under budget. of course, we only have our main vendors booked & haven't started with the incidentals! i'm hoping we'll come in 10% UNDER budget so that we can pay for it all with cash (we're on pb&j lifestyle so that we can save save save)

I would say we are about 2000 over as of now and we probably will be about 5000 over.....
We are spending a lot less than 25,000....I would say all in all we will spend about 15,000.....Our budget was 10,000 before we knew my parents we giving us half....

Well, it was cheaper because of the month, I got the downstairs room and I have only 140 guests...I will probably go a little over but not too much...I guaranteed 75

that's me! lol when FH and i first started estimating a wedding....b4 we were engaged...we were like 'we could do it for 10K' then after the engagment (and he spent several K on my ring) we realized that would not be happening..so we were like 'ok we'll budget about 12K' and now after playing with some numbers, we believe our wedding (without HM cause i don't know if we'll go on one cause he'll be a rookie NYPD cop and may not be able to take off) will be about $22K. but we know we won't go over that because we can't afford to! i REFUSE to put things on credit or take out loans (god bless anyone doing that, i think that's crazy and ridiculous) to pay for it...so we are paying cash for it all and that's how i make sure we don't go over budget. can't spend what you don't have!

i think we should be under 25k when all is said and done. when i find some free time i have to look at our 'budget' in depth and see where we are at. we are spending more than we originally had planned bc before liw and vistiting with vendors, we had no clue what it costs to have a LI wedding. we would be spending much less if we weren't getting help from his parents (who are giving us 10k toward the wedding for our gift). we shouldn't have any debt after the wedding (well, wedding related debt anyways). ~lacey
