Are you on target with your budget?

I know it's no easy to stay on track especially with all the good ideas everyone has on here but what is/was your target and did you stay on? Also, if you went over (how much over?)

If you feel more comfortable with a percentage that's ok too.

No problem if you don't want to answer.

Honestly...there was never a budget set.

us either..we never set a budget....but if we did...we would be way over.

We were hoping to spend about 30k and now we are over 40k not including the honeymoon. I've got to stop the madness!

I'm very proud to say that thus far we are sticking to our budget. We took the total budget and broke it up into little pieces for each thing we needed (catering hall, photographer, limos, flowers, invites etc). We originally didn't budget for video, but I have managed to book a few things under the budgeted amount, and should (fingers crossed) be able to get the video after all. The only thing that will throw us off is the guest list. There are people that I expect to say no because they didn't come to my sister's wedding. If I get surprised and those people say yes, I will come in over budget.

Lol, I'm with you on that. Even though I'm looking forward to my wedding day, sometimes I wish that I could just get it over with so that I don't have to hold my breath and hope to have enough $$$$$$$$ to pay for all the extras... whoo, said all that in one breath Anyway, we are way over what we originally wanted to spend. (approx 20k over).

never had a budget but we had a ball park figure of how much it was going to cost and we were right

My original budget was spent on the reception alone.

Once we realized how expensive everything was and revised our budget we met it. But from the original estimate to all said and done it was 20,000 over what we originally thought.

Looks like we will end up doubling our budget.
Which stinks because we are doing everything the bare minimum.

I cannot imagine spending over 30K! My initial budget was 15K and I have only gone over 5K and everything is booked, even honeymoon....I'm very proud of myself

Our budget is a memory at this point. We thought we would spend in total what we are spending ONLY on our reception. We're just trying to do our best without giving up TOO much of what we want.

I am spending what i thought could be the whole wedding on the reception hall alone. we went around $25,000 over our original budget.

I am pretty much on budget. I am a little over because of buying things here and there that I didn't include and took out of my pocket. But, I am pretty much on target. And, I am not neglecting myself anything, which is the best part.
