engagement ring on your honeymoon??? alot of people have been telling me this is not a wise thing to do in case it gets stolen. people were telling me stories about their cruise and the things were taken out of the room and the safe.
i guess it's ok to wear the wedding ring because it's not as monetarily (is that a word?) valuable as the engagement ring.
what are you girls doing?

Helllll yea! No way is my wedding band or e-ring leaving my finger.. EVER! Theres a zillion people in the world with diamond rings on, Noones gunna pinpoint me and say THATS THE RING IM GUNNA STEAL Im always optimistic about things like this!

'cruise and the things were taken out of the room and the safe' this can't happen b/c you close the safe w/ a credit card (like a door key) and only that credit card can open the safe. I have been on over a dozen cruises and I have NEVER had anything stolen from my room. And how could ur ering get stolen if it's on your finger? confused

Yeah I will probably leave the engagement ring home.. but I want to wear my wedding ring! Although, is it true that you need to show proof of marriage to get the honeymoon package or upgrades at the hotel?
My travel agent said I had to bring proof of our marriage to get the psecial package at Couples.

I wore mine on my HM and the safe was perfectly ...pardon....safe LOL...If you are worried though, def buy a fake set because you don't want to be constantly worrying the whole time!

honestly, i don't really get when ppl say not to wear it on your HM. really, whats the big deal? you can lose your e-ring/band anytime, whether it's on the beaches of aruba or because it falls in your kitchen sink at home. plenty of ppl walk around all the time with their e-ring/wedding band on vacation.
i went to jamaica and didn't take my rings off once. i went swimming with them, laid by the pool, parasailing, water skiing, climbed water falls, and went shopping off the resort wearing them. most of the time in tropical locations, jewelery is duty free and cheaper than the states....and ppl are walking around wearing their valuables with no problem

Yes, yes and yes. I never take it off (partially because I can barely get it off) so there would be no reason for me to leave it home. It wouldn't feel 'Honeymoon-ish' without it.

the person was telling me the maid stole her stuff. but she got it back from the ship.
i would take it off during water sports. im afraid it would come off.

I bought a different set. I will be using the ering for my bachellorette weekend in Dominican Republic and for the honeymoon. I don't want to have that in my conscious. Everytime I travel this is what I will be doing.

Hmmmm...I do have plenty of fake ones! LOL It was a bad habbit and FH would tell me I was ridiculous, but hey I waited 13 years for the real one and I wanted one soooo bad. Maybe I should think about using a fake one??? I have never really taken it off though....but I guess I should get it insured before I go if I do take it.

I wore mine the entire time. I didn't leave it home or in the safe on the cruise, just kept it on my finger. I never take it off

I never thought about that! I actually just went away too and I wore my ring the whole time! Buying a fake set sounds like a really good idea though!

Yep. me too. I would NEVER leave it in a hotel/crusie room alone..yikes! I only take it off at night when I go to bed.

I'm definitely wearing it... the only time I took it off so far was to get it resized so theres no way I'm leaving it at home.
