Are you requesting your BM's wear their hair the same? What about shoes?

I have decided I'll have my girls wear whatever style or heel height they want, except that I want their shoes to be silver.

As far as their hair, I want them to all decide if they want to have it up or down. I'd prefer all down or half up, half down but I want them to be consistent. Do you think thats a little bridezilla-ish?

I think it looks better if BMs have different hair styles, otherwise with same dress and same hair its kind of scary clone looking. As long as they don't have the hair as me, that's fine!

Yes. I hate my hair all up (it puts me in a bad mood) and I would not be happy if I had to wear it that way as a BM. It would make the day uncomfortable for me and make me feel unattractive. Also, I like when people's personalities and styles come out in pictures. A uniform bridal party reminds me of the rockets. Just my opinion of course.

Another example, my sister has a large scar as she is a cancer survivor. She covers it with a thick choker necklace every day. If someone asked their bridesmaids not to wear a necklace or to wear something dainty - this would put her in a very difficult place and be very unfair. You have to take your friends for who they are.

As for shoes, I think requesting silver ones is super reasonable!


you're just like me. I dont feel comfortable with my hair all up and will not like it. Of course if i was asked i would do it, but i would just hate my hair all day and not be happy. So something to consider in case your girls have issues. ANd remember that the same hairstyle DOES NOT look great on every girl. Some have very thin hair, some thick hair which will make it look very different, some short or long, straight or curly. Even different face shapes. I have a very round face so thats why i HATE my hair up, i feel like a pumpkin lol, oh i have big ears too. So i feel like great my face is so round and my big ears are showing lol

But then again i dont like the whole very matchy and everybody looking the same thing. I think my request was :as long as you all dont do the same thing lol. it freaks me out a little when its too clone-y, i know made up word

BUT it is your wedding so you do whatever you think is best.

I told my girls to do their hair however they want. For shoes, I have them wearing silver, their choice heels.

I think bm's are way happier when they have their own options. JMO

I told them that they can wear any strappy silver sandal type shoe they want but their hair is going to up but who knows that might change

I want my girls to be happy and comfortable!!! I also hate my hair all up and would not be happy if I was forced into it.

Nope, I am letting them accessorize however they wish - hair, shoes and even (shock!) jewelry. I was in a wedding where I had bought beautiful jewelry to go with my dress, and the bride gave me an ugly necklace and insisted I wear it. So I am letting them do whatever they want - the dresses are floorlength so whatever shoes they want to wear is fine too - I may put a color restriction on the shoes but I am not sure.

I figure it's enough asking them all to wear the same dress - I should let them be comfy and individuals in terms of all the rest!

I am letting them do their hair however they want and get whatever shoes they want. I'm really not fussy about it, as long as they don't get like hot pink shoes or something, it should be fine.

Im not requiring that they have the same hair, but they need to all have strappy silver sandals.

I'm giving them the freedom to have their hair done however they want since i don't want them to look exactly. They did all purchase the same shoes since they were only $24 each.

I'm only having 2 girls. I told them they could wear any shoe they want as long as it was silver. I bought them both their earring. Not sure yet on what I want for hair.

they all have to have an up-do, dont care how but all hass to be be up, and they have to have silver shoes, i dont care if its a flip flop or a heel...thats it

I dont care how they wear their hair as long as it looks nice and they feel comfy. I dont like th eway it looks with everyone looking the same.

As for their hair I dont care as long as its not the exact same as mine. I do want their shoes to match but that's because they'll be wearing tea-length dresses.

I dont care about hair cause all t heir hair are different and not all have money to spend on getting it done however (even though the dress I pick will def b lobng) I want them allto wear strappy g old shoes

I don't want my BMs to look like cookie cutters of each other. They can all wear their hair however they want it. And as for shoes, I'm still undecided. i want to see the dresses in person. it hink I'm just going to request that they wear silver shoes.

I told my girls they can wear their hair however they want it as long as it's done. I also told them they can buy whatever dyable shoe they wanted so that the show can be dyed to the dame color as the dress.

As far as hair, I don't care really how they style it, I just want it styled. Even if they curl it themselves...lol.

I'm only having my 2 sisters. We haven't picked BM dresses yet, but even with that, I told them they don't have to wear the same dress . As far as their hair and shoes go, both of my sisters have amazing taste and always look beautiful. They can pick whatever hairstyle they want and shoes they want.

i only had 3 girls - they all wore different shoes (but they all got them dyed the same color) and they all had different hairstyles....everyone looked gorgeous....i didnt think it was necessary to have such strict demands
