i agree with your thinking! plus...i have a horrible last name! FI keeps saying he's saving me. lol

i didnt mind taking his. But we had our baby and she has his...so now i feel like i have too! So i am (or should of already since im married!! LOL)

Yes, I cant wait to get rid of mine, as much as I love my name I just cant deal with the aggravation of it anymore

I have no plans to take his name, I already have one! I know its tradition & all, but I just don't get it. The idea of changing my name just doesn't feel right, I'm still the same person....just married.

Socially I will use FH's last name but for work and legal purposes I'll still use my maiden name.

I am, I don't want to but our deal was if I take his name we can raise the kids with my religion, I thought it was a sweet deal so I took it. Unfortunately his last name is not that much fun to take

Absolutely - I can't wait for us to have the same last name!

However, it's completely a personal choice! Do what works for you.

I'll keep my maiden name for work but other than that everything will b changed. My FH would not have it any other way.

I'm taking his legally, but hyphenating professionally. I will be finishing grad school in two years, and my name deserves to be on that diploma!

He's fine with it.
