are you taking time off work before the wedding day? how long was/is your leave?

i was planning on taking a week off before the wedding so i could do last-minute stuff and relax as well but my married friends told me i'll be better off working until a day or 2 days before the wedding! based from their experience, they told me that if i take a week off, my mind might start to wander and change things since i'm not working.

now i'm not so sure if i should still do the 1 week off before the day. i'm thinking of taking the 2 days off instead?

for those who got married, how many days did you take off from work?
and for those who are waiting for the day, how many days are you planning to take?

I plan on taking off Tuesday and Wednesday...wedding is Thursday. After the wedding I plan on taking off 2 weeks post wedding even though i'll be starting school that Tuesday

I took off wednesday, thursday, and friday. Wedding is Saturday. I don't think you will need a week...

I wish I had the time to take a week off before the wedding, but I am taking the Friday (day before ) off. I need to save all my days for my honeymoon. Here's keeping my finger crossed that I dont get sick in the months before the wedding...dont have days to spare!

FH and I both work in schools and are taking the whole summer off...

That means we will have approx 1 month off before the wedding and 3 and a half weeks off after we return from out 11 day honeymoon.

I'm getting married on Friday, March 26. I am taking a 1/2 day the Wed, off Thurs, wedding Friday. The next M,T, W I will be taking off from work, but then school is closed that Thur, Fri and the following week. So, I am taking off 5 work days, but I'll have about 2 1/2 weeks off total.

We are buying a house, so hopefully, we'll still go on a honeymoon for a week, then have a week to settle in our new place.

I'm taking off thursday and friday before the wedding. After the wedding Im taking 2 weeks and the following Monday. So a total of 13 work days..

We were never able to carry days over to the following year but they changed the rules for this year. You can now carry 5 days if there used before April 1st so it workss out perfectly!
