Are you telling your BM which shoes to buy?

Or are you letting them choose their own??

My BM dresses are brown and I really like the way gold shoes look with the dress. My biggest pet peeve is black shoes with a brown dress and I could just imagine one of them wearing that! If I tell them to buy gold shoes, without specifying an exact style, is that 'Bridezilla-ish'??? lol

I don't think requesting they be a certain color is bridzilla at all.

Now if you wnted them to all get the same exact shoe then that might be a bit birdzillaish becuase everyone's feet are different. JMO

i don't think requesting a specific color of shoe is bridezilla-ish, especially since gold should be pretty easy to find.

imho, it only starts to become bridezilla-ish when brides insist that their girls wear a specific shoe that is very very expensive shoes or has a super-high heel.

everyone has different feet ... different shoes are comfortable for different people.

they'll be happier and more likely to smile pretty for your expensive pictures

I have been in 5 weddings..every single bride told me what color shoes to buy! lol tell them...black and brown is a big no no!

I was initially going to pick out the shoe and tell them where to get it, but now after reading this and since their dresses are long I might just tell them to get a dyable that is peep toe and to get whatever style they want...

I told my girls that I'd like them to wear silver shoes, open toe unless that's a problem. I said I hoped they already had or could borrow silver shoes so it could save $$, and that they could pick whatever they liked and found comfortable. I also emailed out a link to a sale with a bunch of cute silver shoes for < $10.

2 BMs already had silver shoes, 2 bought shoes they love, and one I'm not sure about. None had a problem with the open toe part, although if someone really cared closed toe is fine too.

I wanted my girls to wear silver sandals so I just told them my preference. I left the rest up to them.

I just told my girls the color. I really dont mind what style they wear. My sister is almost 6 foot tall, and all the other girls are barely 5' 3. Some of the girls are just telling me to pick one out and they'll get whatever I want. I'd rather have them pick out a style they feel comfortable with.

I do not think you are being bridezilla at all. You might even find they want you to be more specific, who knows!

BTW, I cringe at thinking of brown dresses (what my girls are wearing also) with black shoes. ugh

nope, the girls' dresses are black, so everyone has a cute pair of black heels they like.. they are just wearing those.

That was an issue I ran into as well. To fix it i picked long dresses for them (satin material) and told them to wear whatever shoes they want that way no one can see there shoes and they are all comfortable.

My girls are wearing brown and I want them in gold too! I found a few styles that I like and I emailed them to everyone and asked them to pick their fav. Thank God 4 out of 5 picked the same.
