Are you using/used Duet? Need your feedback

I'm currently in the process of trying to book my photographer in NY, while I'm here in California. It seems like we won't be able to meet with any photographers in person before we book, which is kinda disappointing.

I've read nothing but great things about Duet on this site, and am very impressed with all of the work I've seen.

Former/current users, were you pleased with their work? Which specific individuals would you recommend using the day of? How did their prices compare to other photographers in the area..i.e. value for the money??

This info would be SOO helpful for me, especially because I don't really have the opportunity to call multiple photographers in that area.

I spent $3000 for the package (photo and video) but that was 2003 prices. I went up to almost $4000 now. I used Alberto for my casual day shoot, and Alberto, CHarlie, on the wedding day for photo and Hong for video. I didnt get the video yet but I am very happy with my proofs and photographers.

HI Fellow planner from California! I am too- from Redondo Beach. I booked Duet after seeing so much of their work on this site. I didn't even meet with anyone else since I really loved Eric on first meeting. I have reallyl never seen anything negative posted about them. Minor stuff but things that could happen with anyone. Their prices are wonderful, they will work with you and give you what you need. I am really excited about this vendor. They also will reply to emails almost immediately so it really helps when you are far away. For photo only, their current package starts at 2717 includ tax and goes up to around 4000 for video and photo. Very good deal for the amount of time, proofs and the quality of their work. I know people spending a lot more. Their work blends traditional and photojournalistic. You decide how many pics of each you would like. Their albums are awesome too. For an extra 500 you can get the new style soho album that has many pics on each page so your album holds 70 to 80 pics. They are super!
