Mine is two-tiered. Cathedral for the ceremony & pictures, but attached by velcro to the comb. For the reception, I have an elbow length veil which will be attached underneath the back of my up-do. I want everyone to see my hair also!

Lizlen, any pic's of your dress? It sounds sooo cool!

Mine came off at our cocktail hour. It was a cathedral length veil so I just got sick of holding it so I took it off and geve it to our assistant to put in our bridal suite. I really didn't have a 'plan' as to when to take it off, I just did it when I got sick of it.

I am going to wear a 2-tier veil for church and pictures and then detach the cathedral (via velcro) for the cocktail hour and reception. So I will wear the veil all night. My hair is sort of short and very thin so I hope the comb will stay in all night, if not it will have to come out. I'm only going to get to wear it once so I want to look the bride that I will be! If I'm only doing it once I'm keeping it on!

ChristmasBride, here's the back of the dress on me by the way, the arm bands should be higher up like on the model, but I guess my arms are too fat for the sample, LOL

I had originally planned on removing mine after the first dance but ended up never removing it. I didn't even feel it. Wish I could still wear it.

I'm definitely taking it off as soon as I'm done with pictures. I can't stand the feeling of having my hair pulled, which is how I think it will feel to have the veil tugged at all night between all of the hugs. It's really a matter of personal preference. Some brides think they won't look 'bridal' enough without it, and some won't even wear one to the ceremony. Do what you like.

Im busiling my cathedral length veil under my short veil . Theyre both so expensive that I want to keep them on all night

I have a cathedral length that I will take off after first dance but I will keep my tiara on all night.

I am nervous about my 'updo'...I am not an updo girl, but there are those around me insisting, and the dress pretty much calls for it, so there ya go. That being said, I'm so afraid of not liking my updo that I will wear the veil the whole time to hide it.

Thrilled, why don't you do a half do? Half up, half down, I've seen it on brides and it's gorgeous !!! And it might be more 'you'

I didn't even put my veil on that morning...

i never really wanted one so I didn't wear it!
