When my son was born she tortured me. I mean she really put me through h e l l. Keeping Connor away from me and my family. The last straw was at his christening when she was kissing another guy in front of my whole family. I lost it. What I meant was If my mom was alive today, what she did to me would have never happened, and she would have tore her a new arse. my parents like my FH.

My father, likes him, but is still cautious.

My parents love my DH. My mom met him first (because my dad was traveling) and she called me later that night and said 'Tracy, DO NOT mess this one up.' She never said that to me before. They were always nice to the very few men I brought home but they really took to DH almost immediately. I'll always remember talking to my dad on the phone after DH went to talk to them about proposing, and my dad said 'I couldn't be any happier'. He's not one to say stuff like that.

Yes, When my mom got sick, she said that she felt alot better knowing I would always have my DH to help me and take care of me! And that she knew he would give me a good life!
My DH was my dad's buddy through my mom's illness! My dad was afraid to leave her so we would come over and he would bond with DH bbqing or something and I would spend time with my dad!

They always got along and my family always liked him but my mom's illness and passing has pulled us closer!

ETA and I doubt my dad even notices the working late or opening doors thing! My dad was a plumber who worked 7:30 to 3:30 and I dont think I ever really saw him open a door for my mom!
