everyone has different 'rules' on this one. Personally, i think if they are doing something in the wedding, they should be invited.

I would invite them. THey are a part of your special day and you want them to be happy. Especially if they are traveling.

Yes--I wouldn't invite the alter boys because they won't be at the rehearsal at the church--at least at my church they won't be. The readers are my aunts & FIs aunts so they will be there anyway and we are also inviting the people who are bringing our gifts down. From what I hear though the priests usually decline b/c they have other rehearsals or are busy.

See thats what I thought we got into an arguement ( maybe cause her dads paying for it I dont know) but I think its only right and the altar boy is my cousin who is not a parishner to my church so I want him there to get familiarized with my church, ok here is my other question, when you have flower girls and jr BM who comes with them just their mom right? and am I suppose to invite everyones other half? ( they are all married)

I think the norm is anyone who participates in the rehearsal is invited. I think both parents of FGs and RBs are invited too. If you are especially close to the priest, and he will be there, than you could invite him, but in Catholic churches, the priest will probably not be there. Most churches have a lay couple do the rehearsal and you don't need to invite anyone from the church to the RD. In our case, they had 3 rehearsals planned for that night, so they would probably not come anyway.
You are supposed to invite spouses of the bridal party.

We did. We invited Parents, BP with SO, Grandmother, Readers (who were our aunts), Godparents (who brought up the gifts) and the parents of our young adults in the BP. We alos invited our Priest but he could not make the dinner.

I do not believe that you have to invite the priest and alter boys, unless they are related. In the Catholic Church, they usually, they aren't at the rehearsal.

Well the readers are usually people that you choose right??? Any wedding that I have been to they are hand selected by the bride and groom (like close friends or family)
As for the others...ALTAR BOYS DEFINETELY NOT...YOU GIVE THEM A LITTLE TIP
PRIEST- YES...He probably won't come unless you know him well
