Arggh!

Arggh!

So I went to the Post office during lunch to pick up the wedding stamps. First, they only had the purple 39 cent stamps and not the green 63 cent stamps. Then, they only sell in increments of 20 so I had to buy 80 stamps when I only need 67.

Then the guy actually tried to sell me some stamp with a president on it. I'm like hello, this is for a wedding.

So now I have to trek down to the Main Post Office on 34th after work to see if they have it. Hopefully I can just buy the 63 cent stamps separately because I already purchased the 39 cent ones. Is someone trying to make my life difficult? Okay, that's my vent for the day.

I just went out to buy stamps from the 'mobile' post office on Park Avenue S and 47th....it's true, the green wedding .63 are only sold w/the purple .39 ones.

I'm sure you can exchange the .39 you already bought if you have to buy the package.

Let me know if you want me to pick them up for you!

Well, I'm a little far from you. I'm on 26. So I'll try this after work and if the Main Post Office doesn't have it (but I think they should.) I'll definitely take you up on that tomorrow. I'll bring my receipt and hopefully I can exchange them. If not, I'll be set on stamps for a very very long time.

Re: Arggh!

Yeah, I think I'm only going to get 3 packs the 63 cent / 39 cent stamp combos (60 total) and then use the extra 39 cent stamps from this morning to double up on the remaining 7 envelopes. I think that's the best plan. Hopefully, I'll get these things out tomorrow am and I can be done with it.
