Ariana Waterfalls

Original post by Borricuamorena0905

Greetings!

I'm planning to wed is Sept.05... I live in Jersey, but born in Staten Islans. I was planning to wed in Staten Island because I was born there, but my dad informed me about Ariana Waterfall, in Long Island. Someone he knows is getting married there in Oct. and said they have Complete packages... Includes guest up to 100, limo, DJ, photography , videography, etc.. all for jus $11,000, some packages for less. I made an appointment to go check it out next week.

Has anyone heard of this place and if so?? Any comments??? Thoughts?
Have you heard of any other sites that have all this included at the site.. It sounds like an awesome deal.

hbradio,
LIweddings chat is designed so we brides can help each other. I simply gave my opinion and didn't' mean to offend anyone. Why must everything be sugar coated and sweet here. We're all grown ups.

I think this is the biggest cop-out on LIW. Whenever a person posts something offensive to another bride, they tend to hide behind the 'LIW is designed to help other brides, with honest & helpful reviews/opinions.' However, there IS a fine line in there, because there's a way to post your honest, negative reviews. Wouldn't this have sounded better, as helpful, and less offensive to those using (current, or potentially) Ariana Hall?:

Ariana Waterfall was one of the sites we checked out for our wedding, too. However, I was disappoined that what I saw didn't match what I review on their website.

I believe that the reception place looked nothing like the one of the website - both inside & out. Another con, for me, was that it's close to a Wendys and an IHOP. I have nothing against these chain restaurants, but we had a more secluded hall in mind.

However, you should view the hall for yourself, since you might have a different outlook than what we had in mind. Make sure you view more than a few halls, and do some comparisons, and eventually weigh out the perfect spot for you.

Happy Hunting!

Hey Girls!!!

Last night I went home and told my mom and FI about this post and how hurtful it is. While people may post their negative feelings through EXPERIENCE (and I mean you had you wedding somewhere and the service was bad, etc.) PERSONAL NEGATIVE OPINIONS, are unnecessary. Especially when everyone has their own taste.

Flaca,

I was waiting for you to see this one!! Where were you?

I was leaving the office and on my way home. But I got on to download something and read this. Let's just say...lots of girls contacted me to have me read this or avoid reading this.

At first, they used to get to me! Oh man...I thought about the changing the hall so many times. But you know...what does she know or anyone else know? She knows about her hall..Leonard's and she gave her very own hall a B on her review. Maybe nothing satisfies her!! I have no way to explain her, her post or anything else, nor do I have a desire too. Plainly I will say...She is not my type of person. I would NEVER EVER write something like that on this board or anywhere for people to read and either be hurt or offended or skeptical. I guess that's where the 'We are all Grown-Up's' part comes in. Sad that we are all Grown-Up's but not all MATURE. 2 Very Very Very different things.

Thanks Girls!! I truly appreciate it!! You will hold a special place in my heart always for making me feel better.

Hi...
I looked at that place too when we where looking for a hall. The website made the place look really nice and I was excited to check it out!
The reception place looked nothing like the one of the website. The exterior of the hall looked like a cheap motel. It's also right next to Wendys and IHOP. When I mean next to, I mean only 15 feet away. I have nothing against these chain restaurants but, we were looking for something a little more secluded. The carpet also had a lot of cigarette holes in them and it wasn't that clean either. We were so turned off by the place and couldn't believe the amount of money they were going to charge us for the dump.

But, I say if you are just starting to look at halls to have your wedding. maybe you still want to check it out to do some comparisons.

Good luck....

I just gotta butt in here and say that I dont think this is nice. I usually dont contribute to drama but.....I understand its your opinion but some really good friends of mine are getting married there and I know the fact that you called the place a dump would hurt them.

And I dont see whats wrong with being next to a Wendys or an IHOP. My place is next to a Holiday Inn and a DSW. I see nothing wrong with that.

I have to agree, everyone has different tastes and I think you are totally off here.

For the last and final time, I formed my own opionion about Ariana Waterfalls when I saw it. I have already apologized for offending anyone. If you have already picked Ariana Waterfalls as your reception hall, I wish you nothing but the best. As all brides deserve to have the most beautful day being their wedding day.

Thanks BUT NO THANKS!

Your apology is not needed nor accepted as far as I am concerned.
You can most definitely form your own opinion as I just did about you! No need to beat a dead horse..I think you get my point! At least, I hope you do!

I believe that the drama is over with.. however, just makes sure to not be so sharp next time. We must show a little sensitivity to others using vendors we may think are horrible.

Tinatan she should never had said the place was a dump, that was in no way helping the original poster.

ok ladies... Thank you all for your opinion.. I jus joined this site 2 days ago...

I will definitely check out a few sites.. I really don't have patience with shopping around.. I'm the type to see 1 or 2 places and want to make my decisions.. So this will be fustrating.. My MOH( Maid of Honor? Is that right ) lol trying to learn the lingo.. Loves to shop, loves bargains, and she said she will be happy to do all the hunting and shopping to help me out...

I'm like, I see SAVE THE DATE IDEAS, I'll like one, and then I see something else I like.. woo wee..Very fustrating... Maybe I do need a coordinator, or jus have my Maid of Honor ..

Glad to see the ladies defend their place, but sad to see the drama... II have a few freinds that don't like to sugar coat things, and I have cut their friendship off, because I wish not to have such negaticitiy at all. I think people have to learn to be tactful with the their opinions, and that only comes thru lifes lessons.. I've learned that everyone is not the same.. boy o boy have I learned.. Life goes on though!

Thanx again and Love, Peace & Happiness to all

Have a Great time choosing your hall. Like I said....YOU decide, don't let anyone influence your decision except your tight circle. Me and my FI both decided and that is all the opinion I needed. I loved the hall and still do!! Good Luck! Wherever you decide...will be great!!!
And, if you have any questions...you know I am here!
