FH and i are looking to take classes. Not really wedding specific just to learn different dances.
Anyone done this before and if so what program and what was the price?

We looked into the one on Jericho Turnpike in Commack for our first dance. They gave us a complimentary class which was great. After the class we sat down to talk prices and packages. The cheapest package was going to cost us an arm and a leg. They were also very pushy. We never went back but we keep getting calls from them. We've been married for 1/2 year now.

Sorry I never answer your question regarding pricing. We wanted to spend no more that $500. The cheapest wedding dance package they have was $1600. I know everything with the word wedding is more If you're just taking dance lessons, maybe they have a different price?

We looked into arthur murray and It was A LOT of money. We ended up going with john from ballroom dance instead, he was much more reasonable.

If I remember correctly it was 10 lessons. but they were giving us 1 free lesson so maybe 11.

I'm a dance teacher (Irish Dance) and could try and suggest some places for you. I teach for Vic D'Amore (www.vicdamore.com) you could contact them directly for information, as I only teach Irish Dance. What exactly are you looking for? Your first dance? general dances? the macarana? lol

We did 10 private/10 practice/10 group for somewhere in the 1500 range, maybe more. I like the dance lessons but FH doesn't.
