Aruba

I'm booking our trip through cheapcaribbean.com so airfare, drinks, and food will be included. I know Aruba has great restaurants, so we will go out 2-3 times for dinner at least.

I'm leaning more towards the Marriott based on tripadvisor, but the Riu looks gorgeous too!!!

Thoughts?

I dont think you can go wrong either way. They bth have excellent reputations. I would personally pick the Riu only b/c it is all inclusive and I love all inclusives--then going out to dinner once or twice. Also, if you eat meat you should def. go to El Gaucho --best steak place ever!

The Marriott is all inclusive also. It's a special package. We def want to do all inclusive and then want to check out some restaurants during the week. Thanks! I really want to try El Gaucho. I keep hearing about it!!

The Rui was gorgeous! We 'snuck' in there and used the pool one day on our HM when we went hotel hopping... The infinity pool

El Gaucho was amazing as well!!! They just pushed drinks/wine on us a little too much (like even had the manager come over to ask us) and that was annoying... But the food was great!

I chose the RIU only because the Marriott was so far off the strip. Otherwise, when I was there we stayed at the Renaissance, which was right in the middle of town. It was great!

We are staying at the Marriott because my parents are giving us a week of their timeshare. Ive stayed in dozens of marriotts around the country and they are always fabulous!! I heard only good things about the one in Aruba, so hopefully its great!

We stayed at the Riu for our 1 year anniversary. It was VERY nice.....but the only bad part about it was that you had to go to the main lobby by 9:30am to make dinner reservations for the restaurants. The pool was AMAZING!
