So I'm still trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon. I hear Aruba is beautiful. Is anyone going and where are you booked? I heard the Hyatt & Marriott are nice there.

Re: Aruba
I just came back - again. I stayed at the Radisson. My main reason for this is the balcony. I believe the Marriott and Hyatt have what they call a french balcony. OK for standing - no chairs.
The Marriott is a little further up the strip. The Hyatt is in the middle of it. Walking distance to everything from the Hyatt. Marriott is kinda far.
Look into the Radisson. The staff is beyond excellent there.
FM me with any questions.

Re: Aruba
I am going there and staying at the Riu. We decided that we wanted to do all inclusive. I have heard great things about the Marriot as well.

We wanted to stay at the Riu all-inclusive but we booked the Occidental Grand all-inclusive because it was $1000 less so that kind of made up our minds!

Just came back from there - got home on Monday. We both LOVED Bucuti. Its a small, adults only hotel - most people were there for their HM or celebrating an anniversary. There were 2 weddings while we were there, too. Its very quiet and peaceful. There was never an issue about getting lounges by the pool or on the beach under a hut - any time of day. The staff is excellent and super friendly. I can't say enough good things about Bucuti. You're going to love it. I want to go back FM me if you have any questions

Us too. We wanted a quiet hotel where you didn't have to fight for a lounge chair and have a lot of kids around. Its designed for couples/honeymooners. We met a couple that had first stayed at the Occidental for 5 days and then came to the Bucuti for 5 days - because he wanted to be where the action was and she wanted a quiet hotel. They both loved Bucuti and even he said he wished they had stayed there the whole time. You are going to have a great HM!

Re: Aruba
I've stayed at the Bucuti Beach Resort twice with FH its sooo nice and romantic and they have different levels of rooms but even the 'lower' end which we stayed in twice is extremely nice! and have balconies with chairs and table. however they do have bungalows which look awesome too
the beach is quite and away from everything! BUT everything and everyone else is just a cab ride away which we never mind relaxing quietly on the beach all day and then heading out to the high rise section at night or during the day to go scuba diving
Staff at the resort is excellent and I dont have one complaint.
Don't get the meal package they offer
The breakfast in the morning is excellent and included
and they have a webcam which they live stream at 9 i think so you can hold up a sign and tell friends and family to check the website at a certain to say hello - very cute

Re: Aruba
I am booked at bucuti as well. Only have heard great things!! Adults only on one of the best beaches. This hitel was rated top 10 most romantic in the world i believe. And its still close to the high rise but far enough from noise and children. Check it out
