ARUBA HM

ARUBA HM

Okay ladies, I want to go to Aruba for our HM, we want to go to a hotel that has a great romantic vibe to it. I was thinking of the Radisson, or Occiddental (spelling I know) or RUI, or Hyatt, or whatever...as you can see I am stuck. Any suggestions/experience in Aruba? We think we are not going to go all-inclusive and save some money because we are not heavy drinkers.Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks!

I went to aruba a few years back and stayed at the Occidental, it was so much fun and everything was great. They redid the hotel since then so im sure its even better. I am also going back on my HM to Aruba but this time staying at the Renaissance Marina. The Renaissance has a private beach island (meaning no locals and no on other than renassaince hotel guests can be on the beach!) HTH

We stayed at the Hyatt just last month and loved it! I don't think you can go wrong with most of the high-risers.. they are all along the same strip and you can walk right into town from them where there are great restaurants. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt again though if we go back. Loved how the lobby was outside and I felt it had the nicest grounds out of all of the hotels. The service was also great. Let me know if you have any questions.

We are staying at the Bucuti Beach Resort - its not in the hi-rise section. Its adults only and looks sooooo romantic. They have big double lounges by the pool and you can do dinner right on the beach, under your own canopy. Its a small hotel with about 100 rooms. I haven't been there yet, but I can't wait!

I went to aruba twice..the first time we were suppose to stay at the Occidental but they over booked and the put us in the hyatt...I love the hyatt..the Occidental gave us a voucher for a free five days due to the inconvience so we went back a year later and stayed at the Occidental..both places were beautiful..def walk the grounds of the hyatt..it is beautiful...the only thing about the Occidental is I'm not a fan of the restraunts...but ima picky eater

I stayed at the occidental 2 summers ago for a week with fh....it was our first big trip away and it was amazing. The food was great, the bartenders and staff were so nice and accommodating and the rooms were clean and beautiful too. We had a blast and and corny as it sounds, we fell in love all over again on the trip....and to top it off, for some reason the hotel had it in their computers that we were on our honeymoon so we got treated even more amazing...champagne every day, private dinners, rose petals...the works. I'm all for the occidental.

I've stayed at the Bucuti Beach Resort twice with FH its sooo nice and romantic and they have different levels of rooms but even the 'lower' end which we stayed in twice is extremely nice! however they do have bungalows which look awesome too

the beach is quite and away from everything! BUT everything and everyone else is just a cab ride away which we never mind relaxing quietly on the beach all day and then heading out to the high rise section at night or during the day to go scuba diving

Staff at the resort is excellent and I dont have one complaint.

Don't get the meal package they offer

The breakfast in the morning is excellent and included

and they have a webcam which they live stream at 9 i think so you can hold up a sign and tell friends and family to check the website at a certain to say hello - very cute

Thanks - so glad to hear that you loved it there. It looks so amazing. I definitely wanted to be away from the high rise area - somewhere more secluded and relaxing. I can't wait!!!

They Hyatt is definitely romantic. The facilities are gorgeous, food is wonderful, rooms (at least the ones I stayed in) are very nice as well.

We are doing Aruba too, just debating on where to book. I heard the best things about the Hyatt and also not to do all inclusive b/c of the great restaurants there. I'm so torn!
