Aruba suggestions??

So we're less than 2 weeks away from our honeymoon and we are going to Aruba. Does anyone have suggestions on where to eat and what to do. We know we want to rent a Jeep and go 4 wheeling. We are staying at the Radisson.

Thanks so much in advance!! Any help would be appreciated!!

Re: Aruba suggestions??

My In-Laws took us to their Time Share in Aruba last year at the Marriott.

Go to Sunset Grille in the Radisson. Excellent food!!
El Gaucho (if you like steak)
you can get RV's and go off roading or even drive on the beach in your jeep. Soo much fun!
check out the lighthouse
shopping in town (great deals on jewelry and perfumes... tax free)

Drawing a blank on some other restaurants, but if I think of more I'll let you know

We went to Aruba for our HM as well but didn't do any sightseeing. We stayed at the Hyatt and had dinner there at Ruinas Del Mar and the food was phenomenal.

We ate the Sunset Grill in the Radisson

Flying Fishbone. It's a $30 cab ride each way and in my opinion worth it especially if you are on HM.

L.G. Smith Steakhouse at the Renissance downtown. We went shopping before but stores close at 6 or 6:30 and they are not open on Sundays just so you know.

do quads or jeep tour through DePalms tours, and if you do the jeep try to get the tour guide erik brown, he's awesome!!! we did a lot of snorkling, and we liked flying fishbone, it was really awesome, also LG's steakhouse. if you do the jeep tour you basiclly see most of the island in the tour, there really wasn't that much to do, so we did a lot of relaxing. we also did the quad tour through another company I wouldn't reccomed, it ok, it was a bit hard to get to the natural pool, it was very steep, and we ride all the time, I thought it was tough, DH didn't think it was though, have a great time!!!

Flying Fishbone was awesome. We rented a car for the day, went to Baby Beach during the day, which was really neat because the water goes up to about your bellybutton and you can wade really far out. It was fun. That night we went to the Flying Fishbone, make reservations and if you are in the first seating you can request an inwater table.

El Gaucho was great and the cigar bar across the street was fun, DH had a cuban, I had a martini.

Have a great time.

Salt and Pepper was a great Tapas restaurant also.

someone already mentioned the Lighthouse which is atop this big hill--there is a restaurant there (I forgot the name) and a bar outside where you can sit and have a drink and watch the sunset--amazing! And then you see tons of stars in the sky after dark----oh, but be careful of the goats that roam around the hill there! I'm serious!!

Re: Aruba suggestions??

oh, and you can take a Catamaran to Venezuela for a day trip--they feed you lunch and drinks and you snorkel off the boat---but it's kinda a bumpy ride so don't do it if you get sea sick.

I loved Iguana Joe's, great Mohitos! We never got there but everyone suggested the Flying Fishbone. Rentiing the Jeep is a great idea, DH and I did it and it was thrilling. We drove to the lighthouse and went around from there. Saw the Natural Bridge (or what's left of it), natural pool, and then went to Baby beach (you can walk for 1/4 mile and the water is up to your waist!) Have fun, we loved it there!!!

I just went to Aruba on my honeymoon last month and LOVED IT!!! Where are you staying? The food there is phenominal! I would suggest Blossom's which is in the Westin, Moomba which is on the beach by the Holiday Inn and Hostaria Di Vittorio which is right by Hooters across the street from the Radisson! They have amazing Italian Food!

Re: Aruba suggestions??

love ARUBA!

DEFINITE MUSTs:
El Gaucho

DePalms jeep tour DONT do the bus tour we did it on accident and it was so boring, everything is off road which is why the jeep tour is great!

the booze bus thing mentioned before (kuku whatever LOL)

do NOT do the 'tattoo dinner cruise' we didnt enjoy it - the food was gross, the dancing was fun but we could have stayed at the hotel and danced for A LOT cheaper.
