Asian makeup/hair salon in Flushing

Hi!!!

I'm a newbie to this forum and would like to exchange any wedding ideas with everybody. For starters, does anybody have recommendations on Asian makeup/hair salons in Flushing? I'm on a super tight budget and was not able to afford an artist that travels to my house; their starting prices are at around $300.

I made an appointment with Istana and they quoted me for $150-200. Has anyone had experience with them or other places? I also checked out VickyC5 but they quoted me $250-300. I saw some Korean salons on Northern Blvd but unsure of their prices. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Ok I am Italian and I will def get my hair/makeup done in Flushing as well. I get my hair cut and dyed all the time at a place on Roosevelt and Main called Sassoon(Its above the 7train entrance where the taxi cabs line up), I think I might get my hair done here for the wedding. They are really nice and always do a great job. I also read on yelp, a while ago another Asian full service salon for weddings which I cant find anywhere!!! UGH

Also Korean salons are always much more expensive than the Chinese on Main Street.

I used True Love Wedding and would totally rec my MUA Grace. I don't know if you have to get their package to use their MUA but it doesn't hurt to ask. I know Grace definately travels because she offered me that service. She might even do it outside of her contract, if you want to pay her cash and if she's off that day. They're located inside the Flushing Mall on the 2nd floor.
