FH mentioned a while back that he would like a tool set. I have no clue where to start or what brand would be decent. For his birthday, I want to get him a little of everything. Could you please ask your guys for me if they were to receive a tool set what would they want included in it? TIA!!!!

My dad swears by Craftsmen (he's a Locksmith and CONSTANTLY needs things). And the best thing about Craftsmen is that when you buy them from Sears there's a lifetime warranty on them where you can replace or fix any tool no matter how small or how big (even the tool boxes). He definitely takes full advantage of that warranty and has never had a problem.
ETA. Btw, he uses the warranty, but the tools are good quality so it's not like he has to use it a lot.

My boyfriend is a homebuilder, so he has lots of tools. The ones he loves the most are his Craftsman. I think he got the 283 piece set and it comes in a big case with drawers. He also has lots of power tools, and he said DeWalt are his favorite for those. HTH!
The best power tools are definitely DeWalt, but Craftsman is just as good for household work. DeWalt holds up better in commercial work, though!

Dewalt and milwaukee are good...they have good drills and what alot of professionals use

I know Craftsman is a great brand though. We got his dad a craftsman saw for dad's day.
