Asking advice- shouldn't you go to someone with experience?

Asking advice- shouldn't you go to someone with experience?

My co workers got me thinking to post this question.

One single girl is asking advice from another single girl on how to approach a potential guy.

I am laughing because the girl who she is asking advice from does not have a good track record with men at all.

Wouldn't you go to someone who is in a successful relationship to seek their advice as opposed to someone who has trouble keeping a man?

I am sorry I am so bad, but this is cracking me up!!!!

i would have to disagree.
does your hairdresser always have great hair days?
do you have to have had aids/cancer to help aids/cancer patients?
on a lighter note...sometimes it's much easier to dispense good advice than it is to take your own!

I hear ya girl, but I know for myself if I were having problems in my relationship and I felt the need to seek advice and I had a choice of 2 girlfriends to go to:

1. The one who has been in a very healthy commited relationship

or

2. The girl who can never keep a man because she has issues up the wazoo

Guess who I am talking to.

I ask my family or friends for advice. I trust their opinion and trust they will try to steer me in the right direction with the best of intentions.

I don't think married people are the only ones qualified to dispense advise about approaching a guy - some people marry their HS sweethearts and never approached one.

Never said the person had to be married.
The co worker has gone out with the guy a couple of times, but she wants to keep it goin so she asked the other co worker how to approach him via email to keep him interested.

i agree with you. if it was specifically about relationships, id rather go to a person who's not screwed up in the area. unless the other person is going to tell me all about her mistakes and the things she does wrong so i can do the opposite

Sorry - I summarized a person in a committed relationship to marrried person. It's easier to type :D

I would still go to my friends or family first. Someone that dates more often may have a different insight then someone that doesn't. Just because they are not successful in a relationship doesn't necessarily meant that they won't have any good advice.
