So my little sister has been raving about this for the a few days now, but I'm so skeptical about it. But somehoe she's bugged me enough to give it a try. So I'll try it tonight and let you know what the results are like.
Anyways, the home remedy is somehow crushing aspirin pills and mixing it with either water, or aloe or honey to make a mask and apply it on your face. It's suppose to help with acne, pores, whiteheads, blackheads, etc....
If anyones tried it please let me know if it worked for you!!!!!

I dunno, it's doesn't sound like the safest thing to do. After all, drugs can absorb through the skin, and crushing up numerous aspirin and smearing it on your face (which has a good deal of vasculature beneath the skin) sounds like you may be giving yourself a really good dose of aspirin. Fine, I've never heard of someone OD'ing on aspirin, but simultaneously, a large dose would tax your liver.
Personally, I wouldn't do something like that....

Hmmm, from what I understand it's only used as an exfoiliator, so I don't think it will be obsorbed into your body. But anyways, just checking to see if anyones every tried it before.

You know how so many facewashes / acne creams are made with salicylic acid? Check any acne soap or cream, most have it. Anyway, all those facewashes have salicylic acid, and aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid - chemically very similar. So... just buy Oxy face wash, it's probably about the same thing.

Interesting . . . I have also heard of using a mixture of aspirin and water in the hair (never tried it) but it is supposed to act as a natural clarifier

its actually the same as anything that contains salicylic acid (thats what asprin is) its in acne treatments like clean and clear and other things like that

I have actually used crushed asprin and water...but not as a mask. I just put it on a couple blemishes. IMO, it works just as well as any other zit cream, nothing great.
I find that the overnight creams with 10% benzoyle peroxide work the best.

I actually have a prescription from my dermatologist for a cream that is made of salicylic acid to exfoliate. This sounds totally legit! The cream I use does wonders. This face mask will probably work! let us know how you make out.
