i think the disappoint/worrying about my dress has a lot to do with it.....
the only thing that cheers me up is when i think about our ceremony - everything else i feel blah about - what is wrong with me?!??!?
worrying that im not going to make a beautiful bride is really taking a toll on me i just have a bad feeling that im going to be one of those brides that ends up hating their hair and make up and dress

Re: At around 45 days did anyone.....
I am at 10 days and i totally feel you. At this point, ive been so overly stressed and dissapointed with things over n over again that im just emotionally drained. It's almost like i dont have the energy to care. I've had issues with my dress, veil (fittings), family problems, and just yesterday we almost cancelled our florist, plus we still have soooooooooo much to get done, i just want to throw my hands up and be like IM DONE, I DONT CARE, IM OVER ITTTTTTTTTTTTT...im sorry i wish i had advice for you, but right now i just wanted to let you know ...your not alone !

I'm sure it's just nerves and the fact that you haven't had good experiences lately with the dress. But that will get resolved and like all the other girls said, you're already gorgeous so it'll be impossible for you not to look HOT the day of!

i posted about it a few times - there are A LOT of issues with it
the sold me the worst slip ever - a one size fits all drawstring - it was hanging out at my first fitting - i asked them to sew it in (since this is the only kind they have - which in itself is ridiculous) and they said no they will not sew it in....so i got a new slip on my own but now my hem is going to be too short hopefully it can be undone since my dress wasn't cut - she just made more pick ups
the top is way too big - i was blamed for losing weight for being too small - when she just didnt take it in enough, ive been tiny my whole life - and i didnt lose any weight - i dont know what the problem is
the bustle was done but its crooked! that needs to be fixed along with the new hem
there is bunching in the bodice - its the worst between my boobs - the lining is scrunching inside and you can see it - it looks horrible - and supposedly there isnt anything they can do about it - but we told them they have no choice but to figure it out because it looks like sh!t
the buttons on the back are all messed up - they are sloppy and dont lay flat - another thing they supposedly cant fix - its just the way the dress is - we told them they need to fix that too - she tried but it still looks like a$$
i go for my third fitting 10/31
at my first fitting she pinned it and it looked so nice - except for the slip hanging out - at my 2nd fitting it looked like a different dress - it looked horrible...
oh and everytime i see my dress it gets dirtier and dirtier - its from 'sewing' and that is what happens to all dresses - and not to worry it will be cleaned and pressed the day i take it home - but thats no reason to treat my dress like garbage!

OMG I am so sorry you've gone thru all that already. I do a lot of sewing myself and know how tricky gowns can be. I hope they are not charging you for alterations considering all the issues you are having with them. If you haven't already I'd make some calls to the BBB and check on if there have been complaints about this shop in the past. Maybe they could get you some satisfaction out of this situation

aww Nik! i wish i could say stop stressing but i know it wont work. just try to do one thing at a time and look at your tasks on a day by day WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE RIGHT NOW basis. and go from there. the TO DO list is so scary. but make one and prioritize what needs to be done asap and then go about getting those done!

see the thing is, it will need to be cleaned before the wedding - i think i can bring it to this seamstress - its her house - but to have it cleaned and pressed before the wedding would be the problem.....plus i already paid over $300 in alterations

OMG I just read all of this now!!! i cant believe they blamed you for being small!!! how obnoxious!!
next time they say something you should confront them. be like just because i'm petite doesnt make it right for you to make comments like that and blame my weight on the dress not fitting. would you say that if i was overweight? it is your responsibilty as a professional to fit this dress to my size. if you are saying you can not do that then i will take my dress and money elsewhere!
what an awful thing to say to you!
and tell them that your dress is looking pretty dirty and raggity!
my dress after all my fittings and the seamstress pullig up my gown at the bust (because i have no boobs) inches of beading came off. and i complained and they said it would be fixed before the dress was pressed. i worried about it and thank God it was fixed. all the beading was re-done. so your dress should look brand-new the day you pick it up! dont worry!

well it would be demetrios that we would have to call, there salon is just in Macys - we havent complained yet, im going to see how things go at this fitting - if my FMIL and myself are still not happy we have no choice but to take my dress out - i dont want to complain to Demetrios and keep my dress in the store - i just feel like a lot of the time being a b-i-t-c-h doesnt get you very far - but def complaining once my dress is out - whether i keep it there until the wedding or not

If you have a seamtress call Macy's -tell them to stop working on your dress and clean it -- you are coming to pick it up.
