Atkins followers...what do you eat for a sweet snack?
I want to try this but I need a sweet snack 1 or 2 times a day - what do you eat when you have a craving!?!?

You can get low carb chocolates, just make sure there is no malitol in it. Limit yourself to one bar once every few days....Or you can make a low carb cheesecake. There are many recipes on www.atkins.com or www.lowcarbeaters.com Scott

That sounds good - I was just wondering about the induction period. Are any of those bars acceptable during that time?

Nope. No snacks at all. I just finished Induction 2 weeks ago.

On Induction the book allowed for the Atkins shake for a snack. I happen to LOVE the Chocolate Delight one and it was a great little snack - filled me up too. Sometimes I use it for a meal substitute that's how much I like them.
Like Scott said - there are some great recipes on the sites for quick yummy snacks. You will find that after a few days on Induction your appetite decreases - as long as you're eatting clean.
Good Luck!

Thanks guys! I think I will try that shake if I do decide to do this. I just want to read the book first. I needed to know because there is NO WAY I can live without sweets!

Believe me...I was the same way before i started Induction...After a few days on the plan you totally change the way you are eating, and the desire to have sweets decreases.
Just make sure you are keeping your cheese intake to 3oz or 4 oz a day, You eat Plenty of Green Veggies, and you stay away from fruit.
You cannot have fruit or nuts for the first two weeks.
Check out Low Carb Eating Sign up for the forum, and read the many articles on the site. You will learn plenty about the diet. Also read about the diet on the atkins website. If you have any questions, let us know and we will try to help you as best as we can. Scott

When I want something sweet I eat half an Atking Advantage bar and it totally satisfies me...but again once you're on Atkins for even a few days you really don't crave sweets anymore...only every now and then!

Sugar-free jello is also a really great treat during induction. It is really low in calories and jello makes them pre-packaged so they are portable.
