Attack of the Best Manzilla! (kinda long)

FH picked our best man 2 years ago, because we were close with the guy, and FH has been friends with him for 15 years. But over the past year, we haven't been spending much time together (our schedules just aren't in sync). Plus, he hangs out with this girl (lets call her K) that he doesn't want me to invite her to the wedding because he plans on either a.) taking home one of my single girlfriends or b.) bringing a hotter date than this girl. The issue is he does EVERYTHING with K- goes to the movies, parties in the city, works with her, works out with her, and fornicates with her (with her ONLY). I do not feel comfortable talking about the wedding in front of her since he has asked us not to invite her. Whenever he asks us to hang out- it has to be at his place or bars near his apt, and K is always there!

Then I get this text yesterday after I told him we were busy the next 3 weekends-

'So I guess the next time I see you is when I give a speech at your wedding.Im not upset because Im at a point where I will no longer make an effort but I'm disappointed as a best man that I've been pretty much ignored'

If we demote him to a groomsman, the friendship between him and FH will end- so I am stuck with a Best Man Diva!!!

We are booked till Aug, then he goes away for the month, then its September (hes a teacher, and I go back to school, plus one month before our wedding).

It's been a tense situation for the past 4 months....he didn't do ANYTHING for FH's bachelor party, FH and another GM did all the planning. And he holds over FHs head he missed his b-day (we were dealing with a 26 year old family member dying, and helping with the family on the weekend FH was supposed to go celebrating)

no winning!

Can you explain to him that you having been seeing him as much because he placed you in the awkward position of knowing he's not inviting K and you don't feel comfortable so that why you have been seeing less of him? It is really dramatic.
