so you arent taking to boat to the CH?
the last 2 weddings i went to there they broguth the couple to the CH like 20-30 min into it. i guess it depends on what you want...
we wont have enough time to take take pics and get to the CH on time. we have 11am church and CH starts at 130

all the best food is at the cocktail hour. we want to go lol plus... we LOOOVE the room our CH is in so we don't want to miss it.
We actually plan on being total doofs and getting those glasses with the fake nose and mustache to wear during the CH.
My aunt and uncle wore those at their wedding. They have pictures of their entire bridal party resembling Groucho Marx.
ETA: We're likely attending the second half.

Re: Attending Cocktail
ooo i plan on it....the past couple weddings i went to the bride and groom attending cocktail hour to say many hellos and it wasn't weird at all. it didn't take away from their grand entrance, and it gave them an extra hour to say hello and not lose dancing time!!!

We Will NOT be attending our CH. I have a huge bridal suite w/ a tv that shows the cocktail hour room. I want to enjoy my food and just relax and I want a HUGE grand entrance plus all the same food will be brought to us in the bridal suite so its not like we will miss the food
oh yea, we will have a nice suite with food and everything too... i just want to enjoy the atmosphere. the CH is always my fave part of the wedding...
well... untill i have a few drinks anyway.
Us too, we could stay in the suite w/food as well...but we really want to hang out with our guests. Relax and talk with them, then I dance my @ss off during the reception and not have to worry about making any more rounds of small talk.

we plan to attend. This way we can make our 'rounds' so we can enjoy the rest of the wedding.

FH really wants to attend the CH so we will be there for at least half of it, depending upon picture taking.

that is hysterical!!! i love that!!
we are planning on taking our pictures before the ceremony so we can enjoy the cocktail hour - i can't tell you how much FH and I were against seeing eachother before the ceremony but when we really thought about it - it made a lot more sense to do it that way......so thats what we decided on - so we will def be at our cocktail hour......

Re: Attending Cocktail
We weren't going too.. but one of the big reasons i fell in love with our RH was the CH room.. so it made us want to go!!!! our photographer said since we have such a gap in time between the ceremony and start of the reception that we will be able to get all the pics done before that! So we are def. going to attend at least part of it

How could you NOT want to go?? Then we would miss all the best food. I mean you do get the food in your bridal suite but I think it's nice. I want to enjoy all the extra music and all the food and FH wants to eat all the food he can eat.

Re: Attending Cocktail
ive heard that some brides dont even get to see the CH room because they were so busy taking pictures - that actually happened to FSIL......we def don't want that to happen to us - especially when we are paying for it! we want to enjoy some of the CH food AND say hello to as many guests as possible - I DO NOT want to be making rounds during the reception - FH and I love to party - especially with eachother so we don't want to waste time greeting our guests - i know that sounds horrible but its OUR wedding and we want to spend it with eachother
