Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

I also have the emerald room, now i wonder what is really the capacity and how many tables fit comfortably, because my list keeps going up and up. Does anyone know if the DJ can play ceremony music, outside weather permitting? And If they can throw petals after the ceremony?

ok I am tired of this cr**. I swear if there are any renovations during my wedding I am going to have THE biggest hissy fit in the world.

If there is construction during our wedding, i'm going to tell them i want a different room. What do you guys think about that? Would they do that? And about flowers, i seen earlier in this post that you can only use their vendors, is that true, because I booked Burtons? and its not on their list.

No music outside at all. They told me that. I think they said the Emerald Room can hold 380 or so...

I said the thing about the florist. It waslisted on my contract, but when I called they said it was just a reccomendation and that they can't force me to use their florist. So I didn't. You can keep Burtons.

I'm going to check out the room on June 10. Ladies if you have any questions, let me know. I will take pictures.

How about the harp and violin players that they recommend for an outside ceremony. Is that all bull@#$?

So is the violinist okay? Is that considered amplified?

Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

Hey Jen,

Since we didn't have tastings I was wondering if anyone heard anything about what is good to get.

Most people said they got the rib, chicken with spinach and salmon and it was good. What are you getting?

Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

Hey my CHCC little packet says that it there is a Champagne toast. Does anyone know how this is done logistically? Is it during dinner? If so, how is it done? Who makes the toast? Is this something I should include in my Dinner Menu?

Or is this what they mean with the 'guests greeted with champagne and strawberries'?

Hey Tracy, what did you pick for your menu?

Linens: Plain ivory, white, forest green, and deep red. I don't remember seeing blue.

Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

what did i pick?! lots of GREAT stuff! for dinner i picked the prime rib, salmon and the chicken with cheese and spinach....as far as cocktail hour..the food is endless!!! what about you?
the champagne toast is the toast the best man does at the beginning of the reception... it is standard at any catering hall.

Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

I selected the pineapple basket thing, sonada salad.
Prime Ribs
Chicken Toscana (chicken with brocolli and mozzarella)
St. Peters Livornese (tilipia fish with tomator and garlic).

So if the champagne toast is standard should I not include it in the menu? DO they toast beofre the meal?

Re: ATTN: ALL CREST HOLLOW BRIDES!

thanks raissa for answering my linens question. i don't think it's necessary to put the champagne toast in the menu, as it's kinda standard at all weddings. i'm just putting, appetizers, entrees and desserts. maybe a note about open bar or something...
