MCDO15 - can you also ask if they provide fondant cakes as opposed to the regular icing ones?

Also - does anyone know how many seats can be set for an outdoor cocktail hour by the pool?
I remember being told that there wouldn't be enough seating for all my guets if we did it poolside, but I can't remember the exact #.

Just got home a little while ago from meeting with Leo. We made our menus, picked out our linens, and ironed out a few more details. We also heard about the up and coming renovations taking place in February. MCDO (FH) will be posting pics when he gets back.

Every time I go there, I fall in love with CHCC more and more!!

congrats and i feel the same way

we went on my wedding date to see what it will look like and i was dumbfounded with how pretty it is when its decorated for the holidays

cant wait to see pictures

emrald room design

In the picture, you can see the open roof where it was closed off on the on the far right side on the room (left side of picture) you will also notice chandler hanging. I didnt' notice till now but the rock/tree collection looks to be gone. They appear to move the dorr that was in the middle to the end.
The pillars i think were rocks before and now are covered in a new wood. The space above the dance floor is being raised and opened up. I believe the room will have more of the same effect as the rooms on the second floor. I believe all those strip lights will be disappearing on both sides (on the dais where you will be and on the far side where those plants are.

First picture is old
Second picture (art) is new
Third picture is last time we will see the old

And guess what?

We should either be the first or the second wedding to use this room!!!!

Me and mushpot are excited and when we go back with final balance, it should be done (more pictures)

main questions answered

-the menu has not changed since 2003 when we orginally went. there are plenty of choices and Leo recommends great dishes.

-fondant cake is avaiable for extra from an in house vendor... they have 10 different styles.. We picked 1 that came already decorated so we dont need our florist to do it.

-cake filling is everything you can think of, pudding, strawberry, etc.. on the sheet, it appeared some were extra but i ask him about it and said, we updated the list so no additonal charge.

-outdoor seating capacity = 500+

-hmm, not a hugh choice in lines but ivory seems to be the best.

-they give you homework. so 2 mths prior if he hasn't called you, make arragments to go down there and start getting the bus going.

-everything being setup @ reception must be in like a week earlier then event (placecards, any portiats,etc...)

anything else did i miss?

I forgot to ask about high centerpiece. but Leo said you can call at anytime with these questions.
