ATTN brides who plan on altering thier period by BC pills

I HIGHLY reccommend that you do this a few months BEFORE the wedding. I met with my doctor and she told me to 'skip' my period this month so I get it a week before the wedding and am safe for my HM and such....

So.. Im HIGHLY emotional and my boobs hurt and I feela bit bloated. My moods are just very erratic and I would HATE to feel like this on the wedding day.

So.. if you're going to do it... do it NOW!

I agree. I talked to my Dr. about this already also and he suggested doing the same

I totally agree!! I did it a few months B4 the wedding and it was a bit rough......

Yea you need to get a sample or extra perscription from your doc though...

I'm in the middle of doing it, and I have been an emotional train wreck. Honestly, if FH and I were married already, I'm pretty darn sure he would divorce me!

Thank god FH is a firefighter and is gone b/t 24 and 48 hrs at a time, so he doesn't have to deal with my emotional breakdowns!

I seriously almost cried because I broke my pencil point today at work and I had just shaprened it.

lol. I've never taken any kind of Birth control before so I am a bit nervous about the whole thing. I am so paranoid that it is going to make me gain weight....

This is great advice...I spoke to my gyno about doing this, and she also heeded the same warning. I'm going to count out my cycles right now to see where I land!

Well if you never took it before you should be ok.. I had to skip my week of fake pills and start the new pack right away

Definately agree with Jenn! Just make sure that you don't do it too far in advance bc there is a chance you are not 100% where you want it to be!

I re-arranged mine around the 6 month mark & then realized last month that I would still have it for my wedding, so I had to re-do it again this month! I have been so over-emotional lately!!!!

I so agree! I did it last month and when my period finally came it lasted almost two weeks and I felt like I was gonna get my period all month (PMSy, swollen boobs, etc). Not fun - but so glad it is over!

OMG I ONLY THOUGHT OF THIS NOW BECAUSE MY SCHEDULE CHANGED. HOW CAN I DO THIS ON SHORT NOTICE. DO YOU THINK IF I GET MY PERIOD LET IT FINISH THEN START THE PILL IT WILL MOVE MY CYCLE OVER A WEEK???

Yes but you just have to call the gyno and they will tell you exactly how to do it.

I skiiped my period one moth which switches my cycle to get my period a week early. I did not have break through bleeding at all but I ***TMI*** did get another problem down there if you get my gist I think because of the increase in hormones.

WARNING I have tried to do this once before too. Go right through skip green pills and start new pack right away. I became a SUPER BITC*. Please be careful doing this, def. consult the doctor so as not to make your BC ineffective.

Why wouldn't you just skip the sugar pills the month of your wedding and honeymoon instead of trying to coordinate it so far in advance?

I plan on skipping my period the month of.

Crap, are we talking yeast? They freakin love me for some reason. I'll be starting the pill w/my next period and I really hope that I don't end up w/complications like weight gain or yeast infections
