Attn John Anthony's brides...

We booked the photographer (Michael O'Neill Photographers), and we're trying to work out some places to go for photos before heading to John Anthony's.

We don't have a lot of time, since we expect to leave the church in Deer Park at 5:00, and the cocktail hour starts at 6:30. Plus, we wanted to leave time to get some pictures out on the deck.

The photographer is trying to steer clear from Argyle Park in favor of something more picturesque. We're considering Belmont Lake State Park or Gardener Park.

I was having the same problem!!! We booked DeJa Vu studios and they were suggesting that we go to Farmingdale college to take our pictures because we are getting married in Woodbury on Jericho Tpk. I'm thinking that's out of the way though!!! But the only place I can think of over there is Argyle park.
I hope someone out there has some suggestions!!!

I don't know if Farmingdale would be too out of the way for you. The limos could cut down Rte. 110, stop in at Farmingdale, then procede down 110 to Southern State Pkwy east to Rte 231 south, etc.

Unfortunately, we are getting married on Deer Park Ave., in Deer Park, so we're already on Rte. 231. For us, we could just head south, hop on the Southern State one exit west to Belmont Lake State Park, and it would be very easy to get back to Rte 231. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any hidden treasures out there.

My fiance and I are planning to take a day out and go driving through the surrounding towns. I know of a place in Bay Shore, on Montauk Hwy that might work, but Michael O'Neill said we'd need a permit (only $20 or so). And I also wanted to look into Gardener Park, also along Montauk Hwy. Hopefully we'll find some other places, but as a matter of convenience, Belmont might be it.

my date is Sep. 21, 2001. I was really looking for a park setting also being that we have the water shots there! Isn't Belmont so big? I was thinking about going there to look but I'm not familiar with that park so I figured that if i found a spot in there that i probably wouldn't be able to find it again!

Good Luck!!

Terri,

I don't think you need to go too deep into the park for great pictures. Do you know the cannons on the west side of the Lake, by the white park building? I was thinking that area might work, and there is a parking lot by the building making it an easy walk from the limos for everyone.

Since we're both in the later part of September, I think we'll be fine regarding crowds as mentioned by Lisa Rose. I'm more worried about presents left behind by the geese! :)

I booked the photographer but i'm behind on the dress! I haven't even started dress shopping yet! We are using DeJa Vu Studios. I'm just starting on the flowers...I have an appointment with Flowers Michelle next Thursday. They do really beautiful work! I just hope that the price is reasonable!
This is a posting board and I am only warning brides because there is enough stress planning a wedding that you do not need more. You may take this information however you would like, the fact is that my experiences with ADRIENNE'S BRIDAL SHOP were HORRIBLE!!!!
