Here's review and this cake was pretty for the theme she was looking for

Review

do u see she complained about Ian too!
I haven't seen him in person but when I spoke to him over the phone he was very aggressive and quick to talk over me and not really listen to what I had to say...And this is the person we go over the details with? that worries me

Her cake is nice but she mentioned that her friend decorated it for her which means Leonards gave her a plain one. And I know their standard cakes are fine, but I was referring to what they did when someone paid 400 bucks for an upgrade, and they didn't get what they were promised. To be honest if I wanted the regular cake I wouldn't have a problem with it because I can see they are more than capable of handling that. However if I hadn't seen that review, I would have definitely paid for the upgrade and if it wasn't what I wanted I would have been very angry.

SO just based on that review I don't think I want to risk it and I might get a cake from elsewhere...
I just think they should try a little harder to go above and beyond, that's all

At first when FH and i met Ian we didn't like him too much either but i already knew what to expect b/c i saw reviews from other brides who dealt with him (he is alil sarcastic). But after awhile he was kinda kool. We sat with him for like 3hrs just talking about a whole bunch of stuff. Im definitely gonna be on Leonards about the cake. I dont want any issues

When i met with Ian he was great, he offered us something to drink even something to eat, he was to the point but was also joking with us told us about his day . He is the only person who handles all the finalizations so i guess that is why he is very curt since he is very busy. I chose one of the cakes from the selection they and i another 09er chose one of those cakes and had no problems maybe it's once you decide to bring a design from elsewhere they are not too sharp. If you really feel nervous then i would get a cake elsewhere just to feel safe.

Re: ATTN: LEONARDS BRIDES

Hey all, so I took a trip to Leonards today and I met with Robert. I still liked the Tommy the best but he is no longer there so oh well...

ANywho, we decided to change our room from the Tiffany Crystal to the Leonardo Davinci. SO I'm happy about that. The reason why we didn't do it before was because we didn't want to reserve for more than 150, but with a guest list of 260 and counting, I think it's safe to say we will have at least 200!!

Just thought I'd share..

Re: ATTN: LEONARDS BRIDES

There wasn't a tasting today, i think it's tomorrow..I never get to go to the tastings so I might just end up going to the showcase on Thursday to taste whatever they are offering..O and i forgot to say, Cake Boss just delivered a cake there for a sweet sixteen last week!!!!!!!!
Just thought I would drop that in there because I love him and hopefully can afford to get my grooms cake from him!!

i already got married at Leonards, but i just wanted to say i have a wonderful wedding! not ONE thing went wrong with Leonards, they had the tables set up exactly how i wanted (i was worried about this because i left like 5 boxes with a long list of instructions on how i want stuff set up) but they did everything to the T. everyone had a great time and gave me great reviews about Leoanrds! im sure you girls haev nothing to worry about!

i wanted to add that my cake was from leonards, and delcious, i only tasted alittle bit because i also had the vienesse hour (which was wellll worth it BTW!) but everyone told me the cake was so good.
it was a free cake, in the picture it shows it with those columns to make it taller, but i asked for it to be stacked and without the columns, and i think it came out great. they decorated the cake with flowers my florist had left.

I attended the food tasting. Their food is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although I heard that I should not worry about the food because everyone raves about it, I just had to try it for myself.

Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We had already booked with them and they treated just the same as everyone else.

My BM is Antonio, but there is also another man - Armando - he is just as AWESOME!!!

Re: ATTN: LEONARDS BRIDES

Hello All,

Sorry I am a little late...

Wedding Date: July 5, 2010
Room: Tiffany-Cristal (May change if our list keeps growing)!!
BM: Antonio

So we booked Leonards awhile ago and have since changed our date and attended a tasting. So far no problems, I am not stressing things too much so i guess thats why it has all seemed so simple for now! We met with Ian once when we went in to do a payment....I'd read a few negative posts before meeting with him, so I guess I was expecting the worse and I actually told FH that I read Ian was mean....Well after meeting him, we both agreed that he was not mean and actually made FH laugh (not an easy task!) So overall I am looking forward to having our reception there.
I never got word about the showcase thats coming up But I will look into it.....how do you register?
Also, anyone mail in payments? Do they send you a receipt? Do you include anything other than your check with your dates on it? As much as I love Leonards, I am so tired of going up there! They said we can mail payments, I am just unsure if this is safe? Any advice???
TIA

Did they send you a receipt?

Re: ATTN: LEONARDS BRIDES

No, i called them like a few days after sending the check and they said yes they had received it. When i went for my final meeting i was given a copy of my contract and listed were the payments i had sent.
