August Brides

From the past August brides posts I feel comfortable in my planning stage. This weekend I will be going for the BM dresses. I can't wait to order the dresses, one more thing off the list. I was curious to when is everyone booking or ordering the following:

-honeymoon
-wedding rings
-makeup/hair trial
-tuxes
-invitations

Hi!! Well we ordered our invites last night!!
-I plan to go for BM in 2 weeks
-The Honeymoon we will be working on thi month.
-My hair and makeup I will use my regular salon so I can make that whenever.
-Rings we looked at and basically found one for FH but mine is a bit harder. We will probably wait a little for that (we are going to the city)
-tuxes....good question..when do you do that?

I think everything else (big) is done but I keep feeling like I am forgetting something.

Hi - I'm new here, just recently heard about this site. I'm getting married 8/22/03 and I'm extremely behind in the planning process.

Anyone have any words of encouragement? I think I'm about to crack!!!!

Hi Kim,
I don't think you are behind in planning. My goal was to get the big things before the holidays. You should probably concentrate on getting the BM dresses by next month. Take one thing at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. I would think the florist & limos would be next. Good luck.

We are booking our HM this weekend (Hawaii, yay ). I started looking at invites, and I am having a hard time finding anything I like. They all start to look the same after a while! I would like to send out the first batch in June (wedding is 8/30), so I guess I have to order them soon.
We will probably do tuxes next month, since 3 GM are from out of town and need time to call in their measurements.
Have not even thought about rings yet...why is it that when you cross one thing off your list, 3 more pop up???
Finally, I am in the process of scheduling meetings w. florists. I am hoping to have that done this month.

veil

I'm going for a hair/make-up trial next week. Am I missing anything? I think I've done everything so early because my sister is getting married in May and we've been planning together.

Edited to say we still haven't book our honeymoon.

I am also August 2, 2003.
I keep thinking of all the little stuff that pops up. Still need to get favors, bows for the church, rice/bubbles, programs, baskets, emergency kit or bathroom basket, cameras for the tables, undergarments, stockings.........the list keeps growing. I feel like we have plenty of time but it will be here before you know it. I am keeping a list that I always add to from all the ideas that appear on here everyday.

LL, those are things on my 'cannot think of these details right now or I will go crazy' list I can very possibly see myself walking down the aisle and realizing that we have no guestbook or table cameras. That is why I am so dependent on this board, to remind me!

I ordered mine, its actually in already. I have to make an appt to see it, make sure its the right dress (I just wanna visit the dress ) as well . Bridal Reflections will then hold it for me until its time for fittings.

I ordered my gown in early December from RK Bridal, and it's supposed to come in March 11.
