august brides-stamp and mailing question and poll

does any know when the wedding stamps w/the new postage are available?
aslo when are u mailing urs out? before memorial day or after?

i am having a problem bc i am mailing them out at the end of may and need the 41 cent wedding stamps for the rsvps but so far havent seen any. i also have a bunch of 39 cent stamps that my friend made me that i was going to use on my outer but i need 19 cent stamps to go with it to make 58 and i dont think they make those either. argh

I think I'm mailing mine just after Memorial Day (my response date is June 30)

Yeah I really need those .58 stamps!! What's annoying me is, I need the .26 postcard stamps- I really need them because I'll have to slide the postcards out of the invitation wrap and put them back in - not exactly a fun process so it will take time. Hello postoffice! Some people are getting married here!

My RSVP date is July 25th - so I was planning to mail mine out after Memorial Day - Hopefully the stamps will be easily accessible.

yes so far i haven't seen any either and theres a rumour floating around the boards that they're not coming out till 6/14.

the reason i ask is becuase i was thinking if i get them out before memorial day and people get them before then they're more likely to have not made plans yet. but as i see no one else is mailing theirs that early i may wait til right after memorial day.

well my Rsvp date is going to be July 12th (because its my Birthday) so I will probably send them out the week of Memorial Day.

That is true and I also did not send out STDs. I am definetly not waiting till the wedding stamps come out to late.

That's totally fine- that's pretty much what I'm doing (as far as time span), for the same reasons!

mine is the 12th too date twin!! i was going to do the 13th, but thats friday the 13th ,so i made it the 12th.

Hi Girls-
I ran into this stamp dilemma yesterday. I am sending my invited out before May 14th or 15th (the dates when they are changing the stamps) but the responses will come back later. I have talked to 5 different post offices and they all said they don't think the new wedding stamps are coming out any time soon (one even said not until next Valentine's Day). They said you either have to use the old stamps and attach an additional two cent stamp to each envelope or just use the new stamps. Who ever thought stamps would be such a problem?? Just thought I would let everyone know the information I got.

Sorry girls just to clear up what I said (I read it and realized it might not make sense). You either have to use the old wedding stamps with an additional two cent stamp on each envelope or just get the new stamps (non wedding). WHAT A PAIN!!! I agree don't they know the summer is wedding season!!!
