so its looking like me and FH are having our wedding in august rather then originally thought in november. but im at a loss of ideas for a summer wedding because i dont want to do a beach theme. so if any one has any color suggestions or flowers, or cute summer themes that would be so fantastic!!

We aren't doing a 'theme' -- BM dresses are the color/fabric in my avatar -- pictures in my album. We are pairing that with coral colored flowers. We are having an afternoon wedding and I love bright cheerful summer colors.
You can do A LOT with color in the summer time and make it more about the rich, bright flowers if you're not into the beach thing. if you do a search for the subject 'colors' you should be able to pull up a ton of pictures. you should also check out the photo gallery on brides.com and other such sites.

i absolutely lovelovelove that first flower. the color on it is gorgeous and i wanted to go with the bright colors for summer but i wasnt sure what kind of flowers id use then.. thank you so much for replying because im really thinking maybe to base my wedding 'theme' around the color of that flower.

thank you! I can't decide if we should do just callas for BMs or if it should be callas and clown roses. When we met with the florist he convinced me to go with the mix (and showed us both) but i had originally envisioned just callas. I have time to change my mind.... i am so indecisive
MOH will have whatever we decide for BMs + white callas mixed in, since she's wearing the same dress as the BMs

Hahah I hate pink, and while I've seen many weddings with gorgeous pink flowers and/or dresses it is so *not* me. However, I love the orangy/coral color. It's so summery and bright!
I saw a wedding in a magazine that did bright light green, bright orange/coral, and bright yellow accents and it was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's so much you can do with these kinds of colors. Keep me updated on your plans if you decide to go with the coral -- I could use some ideas

ive finally decided on choclate brown and pink for my july wedding, but im using more pink them brown, i love pink. you can do pastel colors or bright colors

I am getting married at the very end of august and since I love the fall I am doing fall colors. Browns, creams and splash of oranges. I am also doing daisies as my theme.
