I already talked to my MD about this. He is scheduling a consult with me 6 months before the wedding to adjust the pills and the date, since it is currently scheduled for arrival the day I leave for my honeymoon.

Talk to your gyno. You can absolutely skip a period by starting a new pack right after week three (skipping the sugar pills). It is safe and effective. Seasonale will cause you to have four periods a year but with a lot more spotting in between.

you can easily alter your cycle with when you are on the pill! talk to your doctor about it! i would avoid aunt flow durning that time! ~lacey

I had the same problem & I spoke to my doc...I ended up skipping my period one month so that now I will be getting my period the week before the wedding...

Well, you are NOT neurotic!! I did the same AND I talked to my doctor about it. I take ortho trycycline Lo and he said that anything with the word 'tri' in it means that you cant 'move' your period by taking it at different times during the month prior.

Actually, you can move it even if you are on a Tri-phasic pill. It's best to not go straight to another pack because of break through bleeding. I'm on the generic of Ortho Tri Cyclen, and if I want to move my period, I just take 2 weeks of active pills instead of 3. Works every time and my period comes when I want it to.

I made it come this week so I am free and clear for my wedding and HM next week.

You can skip a month on the pill and you will be fine.

All you have to do is skip your period all together. You simply skip the last week of pills and move onto the start of the next pack. I do this all the time and its completely okay (i've talked w/the doctor about it).

You are so far away that it's totally possible to skip your period for that month.

I'm on seasonale and I get my period every three months (four times a year) and my doctor has it set up so that April/May will fall in an 'off' month.

As long as you visit your GYN w/in six months, you're fine.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD DO TOO.
You dont need to switch to Seasonale to delay your period. I am on Seasonale, and all it really is taking 11 weeks of active pills then the 1 week of inactive. As long as you keep taking the active pills, you keep the hormone levels in your body elevated so that you do not release an egg and delay getting your period. Hope this helps.

Honestly, I gain about 6 pounds within the first month. I know I tend to overeat....but not that much, so I do think it was the Seasonale.

I talked to my doctor about Seasonale and he said that it is not effective for more women and you usually get break through bleeding regularly so its like having your period anyway

NOT TRUE- I have been on it for over a year- I had 1 problem the first year- that's it

I have too. I don't think its due to the seasonale, I have been eating better and excersising, but it definitely didn't make me gain weight.
