Autumn pm brides- what time is your ceremony/reception?
Original post by BillsBabe
I have to schedule times for my ceremony (about a 7 minute drive from here to venue) and my cocktail hour. The wedding is in Nov. and the clocks go back the week before. What time do you make the church for if you want to have some daylight pics, but a nighttime wedding? ( biggest dilemma with it is that we have a large majority of OOT guests and no where to put them if we schedule the times for say 3pm and 6pm).

My ceremony isn't until 7 We're hoping it'll be a tiny bit light. We're doing some pics before, some after.
Oh reception (CH) starts at 7:30.

sunset is at approx 6:15 should be dark by 6:45. I thought it would be perfect to extend the CH long enough to see the sunset. I want it to be dark by the time the reception starts

Ceremony - 4pm Cocktail - 6 :30pm Reception - 8pm
All three events are in a hotel. For guests staying at the hotel, they can just got to their rooms for the 45 minutes between the ceremony's end and the cocktail hour's beginning. We don't know what to tell the guests who are local and aren't staying at the hotel. Do they just hang out at the lobby?
Any suggestions?

We have the same dilemma with not knowing what to do with the OOT'ers. My guests can't go to the hall til cocktail hour starts. That's what I'm worried about. 45 minutes doesn't seem too long though. people chat, etc. If you have a receiving line it will shorten the time too. Is there a bar in the hotel? They could maybe hang out there?
