Yea that is def the average lol it's crazy how much some things are. I originally thought that the wedding would cost 30,000..... Now it's more like 50,000...... Kinda makes me nauseous when I write it down lol
that is including everything (wedding venue, vendors, rings & hopefully since its not planned yet- honeymoon) except for my engagement ring

Budgeted for 20k lol but then I think I'm going to come in at 30k
We are 9 days away and just about $36k for everything including honeymoon but not engagement ring. I originally thought $20k but I quickly passed that.
Our original budget was $6-10,000 returaunt venue, well venue changed lol..not including honeymoon with every detail(not engagement ring)about 20K.What hit us is my daughters sweet 16 is 4 months prior at about 16K so I can imagine if she didn't have that what we could have done more with our wedding...I didn't not get anything I wanted except video but maybe I would have done a few more smaller things such as a second photographer,added on a few extras to the DJ etc.
I shared that statistic with my FH and he asked, if that's the average price, does that mean that there are a few million dollar weddings and most normal people spend $15k? :) We were horrified by how expensive everything was when we started planning, and right off the bat I had to decide, is it worth it for me to pay more to have exactly what I thought I wanted, or can we spend less and have it still be perfect because, hey, I'm marrying my perfect guy and our families will be there and that's what counts? :) We've definitely made lots of compromises, but none that I regret, and I think we're going to have a fantastic day/weekend for under $25k. But check with me in six weeks and we'll see if we've gone way over budget by then! :P

For just the wedding, I am on budget to spend less than $15,000. Majority of that is the venue and food. My sister (MOH) is a hairdresser and make up artist, so I'm getting that done for free. I have a co-worker who does DJing on the side. A family friend is more than likely going to take the photos. As for dress, I plan to keep it below $700. We are finding ways to cut it where we can. I believe it can be done :)

I'm in $35k deep. I have most of the major stuff covered but I havent even gotten hair, make up, accessories and bridal party gifts, honeymoon, and im not including my ring... ugh.

That's amazing! And the Irish Coffee Cub is great so that will be well worth it!
I thought I would be able to stay under 40k lol. We have a lil over 9mths no rings, limos, invitations, hair/makeup, gifts for wedding party of 30, rehearsal dinner and a bunch of small stuff. After crunching a few #'s we're looking around 75k, I hope!
Is it wrong to say I have no idea what our total is?! I may very well be sick if I figure it out. We had to take out a loan to do home improvements so we had a place to live and took out some extra for the wedding but then other things came up and we had already booked and would have been completely screwed so we had to take more which was not just for the wedding but for many life expenses. SO I really haven't figured it out.. I have been trying to spend as little as possible on things but now little tiny things are really adding up. UGH! I had it in my head that we would spend $20K and I'm sure we have doubled that. :( OUCHHHH
We budget for $25k but I think we are going to be near $45K. Gives me a migraine just thinking about this!
I would have loved to spend no more than $25,000 but that turned out to be the cost of JUST THE VENUE. Everything is so expensive! With the music and photography, we are at around $36,000. It makes me sick, to be honest. I often wonder why I'm having a wedding like this!! It's tempting to just call it a day and elope... I'm just glad I'm not the only one that has this kind of issue.
