Average price for invites?

Average price for invites?

Just wondering what we should expect to pay for invitations. We are looking for a basic style - nothing too fancy. Any input?

Depending on the amt you need you can pay anywhere from $300 - $3000! I'm getting 125 invitations, inner envelopes, rsvp cards, reply cards, envelopes addressed for me, stamps on the envelopes and response card envelopes and the design custom made for $650 (includes the cost of shipping, tax, and the stamps).

I got 125 invites for $280 with tax and shipping off of the internet, but they were not custom made.

If you look on the internet, you can find some very pretty, basic invites for a couple hundred bucks..

I went to www.renaissancewritings.com and got exactly what I was looking for at 1/2 the price of others. I think we got about 100 invitations for around $400, but they could have been cheaper if we'd chosen regular panel style invites. We got the fancy double fold invites with bows. Take a look at the site, the service is really great too.

When I bought my invitations I was looked at the higher end albums (like Cranes)... i didn't buy Cranes (I bought from NuArt) and We paid $500 for 125 invitations with response card and envelope. Then we paid another $125 for matching thank you cards (but we bought 250 of those because they are just plainly monogrammed and we can use them for tons of things).

Re: Average price for invites?

thanks so much! One last question, i promise! Approximately how long does it take to get them? My wedding is 10/11/03 so I think I need to send them the week of August 18th (about 6 weeks prior). Just looking for an average ordering time. Thanks again. I am new to this website but it is unbeleiveably helpfull!

Ours were about $300 for 75 (had a few 'extras' thrown in, like envelope seals...). We're very happy with them and will be sending them out next week!

Just an FYI, if anyone is getting married at The Watermill, Samantha does NOT offer DISCOUNT invitations! We ordered ours through her, and while we are definitely pleased with them, they were in no way a 'discount'. I looked online a lot before I ordered them, and what Samantha offered is the average price for invitations. There's nothing wrong with them, just don't let her trick you in to thinking you're getting anything special!

Re: Average price for invites?

it all depends on the invite...

custome/handmade invites...will take longer and be more expensive...

I worked with a woman directly who handmade all of ours...I ordered them in sept or oct for my july wedding...I got them in mar or april
