Awful Experience

Awful Experience

So I went to Kleinfeld today and had the worst experience! The consultant I had was the most negative woman who had no interest in pulling any dresses out for me at all. She wanted us to all cram into one small room and was annoyed when we asked if we could look at the dresses that were on display. She showed me a Pnina gown and while I liked it a lot, I wasnt in love and she was too annoyed to pull any other dresses! She told me that I just needed to alter that dress and stop looking and that there is something wrong with me for not picking that dress! I literally tried on 3 dresses and she wouldnt show me anything else, she said there was nothing else...I dont see how that is possible! It was so awful I just wanted to leave. After all of her nasty remarks, I unfortunately got so fed up I couldnt wait to leave. Sorry for the negative review, and I'm sure tons of girls have had wonderful experiences there but I just was so upset by her I had to write this!

That sucks but I would call and complain (or at least let them know)

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Do you know who you worked with? You should definitely call and complain.

Re: Awful Experience

Who was your consultant? I think they push the Pnina dresses there. Maybe I had a good experience because I wanted a Pnina. What style dress are you looking for?

Re: Awful Experience

I can't even be bothered to deal with them again. I actually went to bridal reflections after in nyc and they were wonderful!! My consultant asked who I had seen at Kleinfeld and she knew the woman...and she said let me guess she refused to show you more than 3 dresses and said she is so rude. I can't believe they would allow a woman to work there who is just so awful! My wedding is on LI but I drove down from Boston for this appointment and had my mother take the day off from work and what a disappointment! No matter what, no one deserves to be treated so rudely!

Re: Awful Experience

Her name is Judith...awful! It wasn't during a Pnina trunk show so I dont see why they would just push those dresses and refuse to show anything else. I really just think this woman is awful, I'm sure they can't all be like that.

I would call and complain definitely! What do you have to lose at this point. They already cost you your time.

Is she on Say Yes to the Dress? I'm curious to see if I know which one this is... I'm going there in a few weeks just to try dresses on...I'll smack her for you

Re: Awful Experience

Haha thanks !! No she isn't on the show, but I did see almost everyone else who is on the show. With her mouth they would never put her on the show!! She was speaking down to everyone. She started complaining very loudly that she had no one to help her and that she wanted an intern to help her (meanwhile she did nothing). Randy came and said hello and I could tell that he was standoffish with her also and didnt want to say much. The poor intern looked scared to death to be with her. Just awful, I just want to make sure if anyone makes an appointment there...make sure to ask for someone else if they tell you Judy is the consultant. I've heard other people say that some of the older women there are awfufl, and to request a younger consultant. I felt like that would be kind of rude to do, but now I wish i had! Good luck when you go...I hope u have a wonderful experience:)

When one of my friends went, her appointment was with some older lady named Vivian who was just a nasty ____. She went back but requested her appointment to be with Keasha and she had a great experience working with her. It really just depends on your consultant. Definitely call and complain though - they should know that someone like that is treating their customers poorly and ultimately hurting their business.

AGREED!! That's horrible customer service! you should absolutely let the manager know. I once heard a saying 'if you liked your experience, tell your friends. If you didn't like your experience, tell us'. Owners/managers want to hear from unhappy clients because clients=business=money! Absolutely contact them, respectfully, but hoenstly!

Thanks for the advice, I think you are all right. I will call tomorrow and tell them about the experience. I can't imagine going back though, it just ruined the whole experience for me.

Re: Awful Experience

THANK YOU! I had a similar experience. My consultant was nasty, and she just wasn't getting what I wanted. I showed her elements of what I liked on different dresses, and she was pulling things that were totally different!!! She pulled a total of 4 for me! WOW big deal lol.

My budget was up to $3,000, which I didn't think was unreasonable. She kept telling me they didn't have anything in my price range. Really? That's BS! On Say Yes To The Dress, most girls don't go in with a $10,000 budget.

They boast having the largest selection of bridal gowns in NY, meanwhile they struggled to find me dresses to try in. SO NOT HELPFUL!!!

I was so turned off by them. Kleinfelds can kiss my @$$!!!!

Re: Awful Experience

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!! I had a budget of about 6,000 (thanks to my parents lol) and they had nothing to show me, so clearly it doesnt matter your budget! And you are right, many girls on the show have budgets under 3,000 and they show them many styles. They are so awful, I would never give them a penny! I went to a number of stores on LI and the bridal reflections in nyc and every single store has been wonderful, except for them! I will be glad to get a more personalized and professional experience somewhere else.

Re: Awful Experience

I also had a horrible experience

i went there with a 5k budget

the woman told me the same thing, there weren't any other dresses for me...really? with a 5k budget?

she kept looking at her watch the whole time...took out her soup and bowl in the dressing room and put it on the table, as to say its time for my lunch

tried to cut the appt short claiming i was 30 minutes late

and then kept asking me 'well what is your goal today, are you actually going to buy a dress' like 4, 5 times

and also accused me of lying that my aunt was with me shopping, she asked is she really your aunt? or just a friend and you are lying to make the appt look good!

UGH! totally not impressed with them!

holy crapp thats insane. I would totally call and complain and tell them you will make sure to tell other brides about how horrible they were to you.

thankfully you had a good experience with the other bridal shop! so yay for that! Did you find a dress there?

Re: Awful Experience

I would have asked to speak with a manager to get another consultant. No way would I have let that woman ruin my experience!! I would definately call & complain. They wasted your time & ruined your experience.

Re: Awful Experience

ugh that so annoying!! Atleast she wasnt pushing dresses on you to try on. I went to one store and i showed the lady what i wanted and she came out with 20 dresses i had no interest in and they werent even the same style as the picture i showed. I have no patience to try on a bunch of dresses, id get so confused if i had to many options!
