Haha thanks !! No she isn't on the show, but I did see almost everyone else who is on the show. With her mouth they would never put her on the show!! She was speaking down to everyone. She started complaining very loudly that she had no one to help her and that she wanted an intern to help her (meanwhile she did nothing). Randy came and said hello and I could tell that he was standoffish with her also and didnt want to say much. The poor intern looked scared to death to be with her. Just awful, I just want to make sure if anyone makes an appointment there...make sure to ask for someone else if they tell you Judy is the consultant. I've heard other people say that some of the older women there are awfufl, and to request a younger consultant. I felt like that would be kind of rude to do, but now I wish i had! Good luck when you go...I hope u have a wonderful experience:)

Thanks for the heads up! I have an appointment next month. Sorry to hear it was a bad experience. Its such a shame to have people like that work there. That's what im worried about. Being pressured to buy something im not crazy about. You should def call and complain about her because the last thing you want is a bad experience while dress shopping!

Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. Not all bridal salons are like that! I hope you have a better experience somewhere else. I always hear raves for Pronovias!

One of the women on Say Yes to the Dress now runs Pronovias and she is wonderful! Unfortunately I don't watch the show and I can't remember her name. My mom recognized her right away though. lol

I had a bad experience too, I told them my budget was $2,500 and all she pulled was tafetta dresses (which is the one thing I told her I did not want) and all she could say was that's all they had within my budget.

Re: Awful Experience

Wow!! I'm sorry you had such an awful experience there. Maybe it was just her?
I went to Kleinfeld's and bought my dress there, actually the 3rd one I tried on. I was actually pleasantly surprised, I expected them to be rude and pushy, but it was the exact opposite. I also told them I had a budget of 3K and the brought me out a lot of dresses. My consultant even had me go in the room and pick out ones I liked. Not once did she even push me into buying a thing. When I tried on my 3rd dress and said this is it, she told me 'thats the fastest I have ever had anyone say yes, are you sure?!'
I had a wonderful experience there! Not everyone is going to have the same though unfortunately.

eta--forgot to add, I went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I found them to be the rudest, snottiest people I have ever met ever and cancelled my BM's dresses from there just because they were so rude and snotty!
So everyone's experience is different.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience! I bought my dress there and had a great experience.

I had an appointment earlier the same day at a different bridal salon in NYC (FM me if you want the name_ and I felt like I was pushed out of there for not finding something within my alloted hour.

My consultant was JB and let me tell you, my appointment ran over time, both her and Randy would not stop searching until they found a dress for me. I loved working with JB, I would definitely recommend her!

I'm shocked honestly. I had the most wonderful experience at Kleinfeld. I brought in a bunch of pics of dresses I liked online. The consultant pulled EVERY ONE! Then, after I fell in love with the first dress, she made me try on all the others anyway. I ended up with the first, but appreciated her making me see everything I originally liked. My dress comes in this month, so I'll let you all know how it goes with alterations, but I couldn't be more pleased with their customer service!

Elyse - I only know b/c I saw her on her cigarette break outside of Pronovias one day! I got my dress at Kleinfeld however!

Her name is Judith...awful! It wasn't during a Pnina trunk show so I dont see why they would just push those dresses and refuse to show anything else. I really just think this woman is awful, I'm sure they can't all be like that.

did she call herself judy at all? i think my friend had her. She rubbed me the wrong way, but my friend loved her and wound up getting a dress there. and once she 'sold' the dress to her she left... didn't even stay to say 'thanks' after she put down her 60% deposit. she was really rude.

Re: Awful Experience

Im sorry I have to laugh at this.. Judith was my consultant the second time i went and i almost killed her.

I went once, had an amazing experience but didnt buy. I went back, they gave me Judith. It was like a cruel punishment of some sort !! She was an animal!! haha
Her and I had words within 5 minutes of my appointment. I literally pushed her out of the way, went to the back room and started pulling dresses myself.

The entire time she was standing in the middle of the place, begging for people to 'help her'.. everyone was rolling their eyes, walking by her and ignoring her.

I ultimately found my dress, with no help from her whatsoever- she was uselesssss!!!!!! They should have credited me the commission.
I thought my Mom was actually going to hit her at one point haha.

After finding my dress , things calmed down and Judith and I talked. She has been there 28yrs.. since Kleinfeld was in brooklyn. I think she has been there so long they just cant let her go. She is a full blown moron, but she means well lol ! She told me that i look beautiful and then said ' and i never say that' WHAT KIND OF BRIDAL CONSULTANT NEVER TELLS BRIDES THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL?? Im hysterically laughing just thinking of what a nut she was!

Re: Awful Experience

LOL omg I LOVE your Judith story LOL! She really is such an animal!! 28 years is a really long time to be working there helping girls put on dresses lol...but I mean really, if you are so miserable then do something else! Anyway it worked out in my favor because I got a dress today!! I am sooooo excited! I went to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and they had a beautiful dress in the window and I tried it on and it was perfect! I thought I'd never find a dress, I think I've tried on 80 lol! It all worked out in the end:) So Im not mad at Judith anymore LOL. And 'veepro' ...you never know you may get someone better there...just watch out for Judy lol. The only thing I didnt like is that it didnt feel like a personalized experience ...the place is just so huge with so many women around. I loved B Reflections, I had Nowel (sounds like noelle) and she was so wonderful:)

Re: Awful Experience

OMG I had Judith also...she was very ornery the day I had her. I pretty much already knew which dress I wanted but had family from out of town(little girls who watch the show) and thought it would cool for them to go and see my dress. Although Kleinfelds gave me a great price, Judith wanted me to buy the dress ASAP and I really wanted my mom to see it....she was very annoyed with me and kept pressuring me and I told her I was going to come back and she said 'no you won't'...after that comment I decided I wasn't coming back! I got Bridal Reflections on Long Island to match the price.

I understand they are trying to make a sale and this is how they make their living, but dress shopping should be fun and pressure-free!!!!

Re: Awful Experience

i had a bad experience at kleinfeld's too. i had requested kesha, but there was some issue with their computer system, and i ended up waiting 45 minutes. and then, when she finally came to get me, she was still working with another bride, so she had me in the stock room ALONE sifting through the racks. i was also annoyed at how they push Pnina's at you.

i ended up getting my dress at the Wedding Salon of Manhasset and it was such a pleasure. from initial purchase through all the fittings, they were always so nice and pleasant. i suggest you check them out.

Re: Awful Experience

They really do seem to push those Pnina dresses. I had checked out the Wedding Salon, and they were wonderful. I ended up getting my dress yesterday at Bridal Reflections, they were wonderful also!! So happy I dont ever have to go to Kleinfelds again! It's one thing to be not helpful, but to roll your eyes and make really awful, nasty comments it just not right!

Re: Awful Experience

there not all like that the older ones are snottier. In regards to the pnina dresses shes one of there exclusive designers so of course there going to want to push her dresses on you.

Awful Experience

I had a terrible experience there also when I was looking. I can't remember the consultants name, but she was also rude. I found the dress I loved but didn't want to give my money to the store or the consultant. Ugh. I ended up going to the Wedding Salon of Manhasset and getting it there instead. They were much nicer and the dress was the same price anyway. Sorry you had such a crappy experience too.

Re: Awful Experience

I went years ago when I was engaged to someone else and had a similar experience as most people where there were no more dresses for me! they acted like a $4000 budget was ridiculous and that was 5 years ago. they even made comments how maybe if I had a higher limit to my grandma. I wanted to go there again now that it's been years and I'm engaged to the real man of my dreams :) but ehhhh.

they also kept pushing weird styles at me when I said I wanted a ball gown. like she kept bringing out sleek straight gowns. because no ball gowns there are under 4000? say yes to the dress it seems like so much fun and all the limits I saw were $4000 so it makes no sense.
