good luck...unless she has good ID it will be pretty impossible to go to a lot of places. Maybe she could do dinner with you and then the rest of the people could go out....i did that once when i was underage.

20 maybe 17 is a little young...

I got in everywhere when I was young also.. Try heading out to a bar early so the bouncers aren't at the door yet. I was out Thrs night and I swear some of the girls had not graduated high school yet. FM me for the exact little HOT SPOT I was at...

When friends of ours got married, the best man was only 17... they went to dinner all together and were able to get him into a comedy club because they called ahead of time letting them know the situation. Their father was also with them so they made an exception... I doubt it would work for a bar or club but maybe something small like that would be okay, guess it depends on your style and what you want to do! Good luck!

ETA: I forgot that the grooms 14 year old sister was with us for the bachelorette party. We went to one of those interactive shows, the Italian/Jewish wedding... it was really cute and it wasn't too inappropriate for her. Just another idea :)

For my friends b-party we went to Birdy's at the Culture Club. One of the girls was underage and it wasn't a problem for the show but they didn't want to let her in the club after. We wound up sneeking her down when the bouncer wasn't looking, but he was searching for her all night. She had to keep ducking him out. It was actually kind of funny.

You could always try paying the bouncer. She also may not get ID'd if you're at a restaurant/bar. Any club/bar will ID and it will all depend on the bouncer at each bar.

Re: b party

It was my sisters bridal party I was in too. Even though trust me I was drinking at 17, when she asked me where I thought they should go that I could get in...I said No Way...that was her night and they should all go to a place she wanted to go. She wound up going to a place in the city.....so I went with them for dinner (snuck a drink at dinner) and then wished them well.....it really sucks, but like I said I didn't want them having to bend over backwards just for me....now if I had great ID that would of been another story...i would of tried probably....got nothing to lose....

Re: b party

My sister was 18 for my b party. Our intention was just to go out to dinner and then maybe see live music at a cafe. We did end up going to the local dance place here in my neighborhood because the bouncers were outside and told us to come in (it's a tiny reggae place around the corner).

Don't try paying the bouncer and don't let her drink if you do get in, you might end up in the clinck for it since you're over 21 and she's under 18 (contributing to the delinquicy -sp? of a minor)

What about planning a b-party that doesnt revolve around drinking? A spa day or in home spa party, a golf or tennis outing, go to dinner and show or a concert in a limo, things like that.

At 17, it's going to be difficult at best to get your sister into places you would want to go to for your b-party. You could always have a seperate girls night out to go drinking.

Yea really. She's 17. I'm surprised by the non-chalant way that everyone is suggesting breaking the law.

Re: b party

When I planned a bachelorette party for my friend, her maids of honor were 18 & 20.

We went out to dinner, the 20 year old used her sister's ( the bride's) old id & had 1 drink, the younger one did not. ( fortunately the bride was not carded)
Then we went to the Peculiar Pub, ( near NYU) which is not really a bachelorettey type of place, but it was near where we were & they were only carding guys.

For a 17 year old though, I would suggest more of a bar/restaurant place.
Mexican places usually work well for that.

My only BM is 16 (and moving to MA), and my MOH is in CA, so if I have a bachelorette party at all it would be w/ my friends.

I don't want to involve the 16 year old unless it is legal.

My FSIL is only going to be 19 or 20 when my bachelorette party happens and I dont want to stress about this very thing so I am saying to her 'Awww sorry you cant come but we will do something special on the side with you'. Thats my plan anyway.
