We asked one of my BM and one of FH's ushers to be in the wedding this past weekend (they are married) Ok so she is due to have a baby in the beginning of July which I am sooooo happy about. I couldn't be more excited for them. They are also from NJ, where I currently live. However, the usher's parents are also invited to the wedding since FH is close with his whole family. Now here's the kicker, They think they're bringing the baby to the wedding, rehearsal dinner, etc. (remind you she has family here that can watch the baby at this particular time, mom, sister, etc) SO THEY THINK THEY'RE BRINGING THE BABY. FH said to his usher no Im sorry we are not having any kids at the wedding at all. So I can definitley understand a new Mom not wanting to the leave the baby 100% can understand. But what do I do ? I do not want a baby crying during the ceremony, reception, etc?? Am I wrong?

Re: Baby at the wedding GRRR
I agree with you fully, they may want to have a night of quiet. But I can also see where they are coming from but I would not want them to bring the baby with them for the crying reason alone

NO KIDS!!! I'm not having kids except for family members and the ones in the wedding. I can totally understand where they are coming from, I don't see the harm in leaving the baby with someone they trust the day of the wedding.

I see you are getting married at the RH. I looked at your RH and the bridal room is away from the CH and reception. From what I remember it is on the second floor. Why not have someone watch the baby in the bridal room. This way its mom can go nurse and check on the baby but it will not interfere with your wedding.

This is what I am doing at our wedding. Our baby will be 3 months old. my MOH's sister will be in there watching the baby.

Re: Baby at the wedding GRRR
I am in the same situation and here it is and what we're doing.... I am getting married on 2/18. My MOH is giving birth tomorrow. The baby will be 4 weeks old at my wedding, and they are coming all the way from Boston to NY just for me. They are staying overnight. Her husband will not attend the wedding. He will stay in the hotel room with the baby while she attends the wedding. (this was their idea) I am arranging for room service to be sent to him wit hall the trimmings. Thats' that.
There are NO BA BIES at eveneing weddings. Its just not appropriate. They should know this. I know that you are trying to be a gracious bride, but it is after all. YOUR day. They should be able to find a way to accomodate you.
