Hi!
I am in the process of planning a baby shower! Can I have your advice..should I rent a wishing well, or try to be creative and make one??
Does anyone know of any good websites for baby shower Ideas.
Thank you So much...

Hmmm...there was a website I found awhile ago that had some cute ideas and unique gifts...I THINK it was
bestbabyshower.com

As for the wishing well...maybe you could buy a hamper for the babies room and use that...?

Maybe you could buy a cute wooden toy chest for the baby's room and make it into a wishing well for the day!

Re: Baby Shower

I planned a good friend's baby shower and honestly it was one of my favorites times. It was so much fun. I did a 'Think Pink' theme since I knew she was adopting a girl.

I did a clothes line over the living room doorways and hung up little girl clothes from it. I got flowers from Burtons in glass vases in various shades of pink. I used pink tableclothes and put 'baby girl' sequence (sp?) over it. (Warning: you will find this stuff ALL over your house for months afterwards).

I used that craft foam- sorta like paper- and cut out Think Pink and hung it on a wall. Sonicstef designed the invites.
I did the baby food jar game, which was a big hit.

I got her a toybox and used that as the wishing well. I think the rental ones are just gross and old lace and well...a waste of money to rent when you can buy something cute and useful for after the shower.

I made her a shower memory book and asked each guest to write motherly advise in it for her. I had pages for shower photos as well as a place for her to put photos of the baby.

At a friends shower on of the 'games' was that they set an egg timer, who ever's gift she was opening when the timer went off is the person that won a prize.I thought it was a great idea and something a little diffrent.

Re: Baby Shower

I'm planning my sister's baby shower and I'm going to do the wooden toy box as a wishing well, and we have a few games, there is a Q & A that asks pertinent questions about abies, so it is educational and there will be prizes. I also love when each guest os asked to submit an 'advice card' or words or inspiration about motherhood, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn, etc. put shower games into your wedb browser and lots of options will come up
