Does anyone know how long they want to wait for kids?
Louie and I discussed btwn 3-4 years...i want them a lil sooner like 2-3 years.

I think when it happens it happens, but we do want our own time...

im hoping for with in the first year or early second year .. FH at first wanted to wait but not that hes around babies lately i think hes thinking sooner then later

I would like to wait 3-4 years, FH would like to wait 1-2 years. I want to buy a house and work on my masters before I start popping out babies!!

whether we move to florida and have a house built right away - which is plan A.... or plan B if we stay here and buy a house, live in it for awhile and then rent it out when we move to Florida (to have as an investment and second house in NY) we are still going to wait awhile.......we want to be 100% settled before we start trying - so that will probably be at least 2 years after the wedding.....i want us to have everything we have ever wanted (obviously being realistic here) before we decide its time for little ones......i want to be able to spoil ourselves for a little bit first - we've always been saving for something - our first apartment, land in florida, FH with the e-ring, now the wedding, then it will be a house....so once we are settled and have a house i want to enjoy it - plus part of our plan is to be at a point where we can live comfortably off just FH's salary with kids...i'm guessing when i am about 26/27 - of course that can change but its our plan for now.....

It all depends on our financial stability. We thought it'd be great to have a honeymoon baby.. but more realistically maybe 6mos to a year and half after the wedding. I'd def. like more than 1 so starting sooner would be great!!

4-5 years. I'll have 1 year left of law school, and then I'll want some time at my job to save up $$$ and make sure going to law school wasn't a waste. Plus, we want time to travel

4 - 5 years. we're in no hurry! I want us to have a house, have time to travel, time to build up our savings, time to just be 'us,' etc.

we're only 22 so we have ALOT to do before the babies come. we want to travel, finish school, save $$, get a nice place and just enjoy us before a 3rd one comes along.

I would like to wait until I am tenured for teaching and considering I'm still in school for another 2 years, then it would have to be that long. But whatever God has plans for will happen.

Same here...i'll be done with school in May but I would like to wait until i am tenured too! and then.....bring on the babies!!!!! LoL

2-3 years would be great for me... but FH wants me to have one ASAP.... so most likely it will be around 1-2 years

We are going to start trying a little before the wedding or right after. We have a 4 BR house that needs filling!

FH and I are waaay older than most of you young chicks so I need to get my eggs fertilized while the getting is good! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

nicole your situation is very similar as to how fh and i feel.

first i finish my masters 5 months after our wedding so i want to start teaching and possibly even get tenure so thats 3 yrs right there and we also want to have a house and be comfortable living unlike FH's brother who needed a house and a wedding and didnt realize the savings involved. So we are waiting till we are financially stable and hopefully i wouldnt have to work the first yr of my baby's life.

Also our whole relationship has been long distance since fh is in hte military. i want time to enjoy my life with just him in it...selfish yes but i never had more than a month with fh because of the stupid military so we deserve it lolol.
