we bought a gate for the top of our stairs ( where most of our living areas are). ROb has to get extra lumbar to attach it to the walls.
I heard not to use pressure mounted gates on the stairs
anyone tell me why I need gates at top and bottom? ( bottom is a small landing for our front door...and then more steps to the laundry rm and garage. Baby will not be left alone (or at all) in this area
we have the sliding outlet covers, the cabinent locks, even some doorknob cover things so that you cannot open doors.
I have heard to install hook and eye hooks on closet doors and bathrm doors works best. I think we even have a toliet lock. have to look
any other pointers....
Julianne is MOBILE now....crawls all over in a FLASH!

Re: babyproofing tips?
We did most of the things you did. If you have any entertainment units with glass doors that close with a magnet, you may want to get something to keep it closed. I am not sure of the name of the gizmo husband found to keep it closed. I will have to ask him later. We also had to relocate the CD spinner. We added a padded bumper around the coffee table. It helps when they start walking and fall often, but now that she is climbing on everything I find it can be a pain since she gets caught in it. She tries to lift her knee onto the table and her foot gets caught in the bumper. Try to crawl around and see what is in your reach. Many things they will go for are surprising. You will have to take things away as she gets into them. Be sure your plants are not poisonous too!
