It might be personal and you don't have to answer but I was curious how much people are paying to go out for your bachelorette party...I am trying very hard to be concious about not doing too much but it seems that no matter what it gets out of hand. lol I was hoping that if other girls are in the same boat I will feel better. Friday night the girls are coming over and we are having wine and ordering in like pizza...so that's very inexpensvie...Saturday we are taking a pole dancing class, and then in the evening taking a limo to the city having dinner, going to a bar and then going to a club...a party planning company is doing it so for everyhting including the day stuff...all alcohol, food, tips, transportation and a personal male model usher to take picturs and lead a through the night is about $350 pp for 14 of us....what are your thoughts? I went away for a friends bachelorette party and with everything it was much more then that...but i was just curious....

Re: Bachelorette party cost
Depends...
I had five girls come with me to Vegas and we booked one room lol., we did it dirt cheap and had the best time....besides your not really in the room much., and then the flight was like 320 i think.
noone really cared about the price., but then again noone from my bridal party 'going out' freinds lol..
i know that if i would have asked my bridal party it would have been different.....they have all of these expenses ya know...

we went to ac. it was $150 each for the limo there and back. $70 each for the hotel rooms (2 rooms). and $100 for dinner and drinks before we went out. We got comped at the club, and who knows how much was spent on drinks My 1 bridesmaid also bought me a bride tank & hat, and all the other girls bridesmaid tanks. We had 8 people including me go.
Were you there 1 or 2 nights?

But would you have 3 drinks all night even starting at dinner? it's one thing to go out at 11 and have 3 drinks before 2...but starting at 8 and going till 2 I would certainly have more. I know I could have just 2 at dinner alone before even going to the bar and then to the club.....even if people spread it out and had 2 at dinner, 2 at the bar and 2 at the club youd almost reach that amount. I guess me and my friends are just big drinkers...lol
But i guess thats me and my friensd...well most of my friensd...for most they will drink more then the $75 for others maybe not...
sometimes i have no drinks at all and i mean not one during dinner or at a club, other times 2 or 3 maybe. BUt thats me, idont drink alot. If I HAD to pay $75 for an all inclusive thing for me it wouldnt be worth it bc its more than i would spend. My other friends can drink more but i dont. Sometimes i do decide to get drunk but i have 5 and im trashed lol
I will buy drinks for others so it can come out to that much and even more for drinks in one night for me, but not on a pp basis.
If your girls are ok with the price then that is what matters. I know ive gotten criticized ALOT on this board for going away for my BP, but as far as costs for the trip for the girls its $300 or under for some and free for one. $340 to go into the city can be pricey for just going to the city, i wonder if it would be less if you did the same things on your own. Limo would be about $50pp lets say, dinner lets say another $50pp then entrance to marquee is $20-25 then drinks
how many of you will there be? for that you might even be able to get a table
I would def not criticize you for going to vegas! I think its awesome and I am jealous....plus you arent forcing anyone to go!!!! You are giving them an excuse to take a vaca! I wish I could do that but I had a short engagement and not too much time to plan and save for a big Bachelorette Party!

Re: Bachelorette party cost
i think it depends on the kind of friends you have - i know my friends and i know they would if i said i wanted to go away for a weekend - our wedding is already interfering with their lives and its costing them money for other things as well not just the bach party....my fsil and my bf are the ones planning it and they are just like me - they love to get trashed and they love to come home to their own bed and for me that works - i wouldnt even want to go away for my own bach party because id miss FH, id miss my dog, id miss my bed, thats just how i am - i even get homesick when i visit my parents in florida - im just not into vacationing without my FH and the same thing goes for my MOH - there is no way she is going to want to leave her husband and kid for 2 or 3 days and the same goes for my best friend, plus its expensive....i rather do something simple and not get carried away with it....other people like to do more extravagant things and thats fine too - as long as you arent pressuring or focing anyone, but to be honest the bride shouldnt be because the bride usually isnt involved - at least thats how our families and friends i know do it....i gave my girls one rule - and that as DO NOT spend a lot of $$ - they know what i like and i totally trust them to take me out and have a good time - they'll invite whoever and we'll do whatever and i know it will be fun - i feel like BPs are overrated and people expect a lot sometimes, i am more of a go with the flow kind of person....so all in all i think it depends on your friends - if your friends are up for it and it sounds like they are then i think its fine - im sure you will have lots of fun!

Re: Bachelorette party cost
My girls will prob end up spending $200 when all said and done. We are going to the Borgata in AC and having a light dinner (prob order some takeout to the room) Then we have a table at the club and thats it. I am chipping in a couple hundred for the table because I really want it.
Most bachelorette parties I have been to cost around $150-250. If one of my friends was getting married and wanted to go away to vegas or the carribean...I'd be all for it as long as I had the money! Actually as I get older I would prefer this...again an excuse to get away and how many times can you do the city, hamptons, ac, etc!! JMO!
As for the $350...seems a bit steep but only because you arent physically staying anywhere. But if everyone already agreed to it...then you are all good! PS - I went to one bachelorette party...an overnight cruise out of manhattan that was a blast...think it was in the $250 range and was al inclusve (except drinks) but we smuggled alcohol on. The bride felt bad it was so much but I thought it was a great deal!

Everything you said there I totally agree with...Then my sister sent me the idea about the all inclusive party idea and I loved it and now it's getting out of hand but I couldn't imagine doing anything else...I am so totally excited about it...lol....oh well i gues sit happens

Just a heads up on the borgata...I don't know how many girls you have going but I went there for a bachelorette party and spent over $390...and that was just for a room for 2 nights, (and for the bride)dinner at a resturant,(and for the bride) and 1 drink for her. It was much more expensive then I would've thought...

Thanks for saying that...I'm just a nut...I gotta back off and let them do things. I didn't want to be part of it anyway and I have trouble staying out of it! If i backed off i wouldn't know anything! lol

We are already booked for 1 night....a suite and regular room....some girls said it is ok to sleep on an air mattress because there are like 2 extra people and we didnt want another full room. We are not eating out and The tables will be $60 a head (I am chipping in a couple hundred). Anyway...if they gamble may be more!

Re: Bachelorette party cost
I did almost the same thing you are doing for one of my BM's bachelorette party in the fall and it came to about the same price. We stayed in and drank and had gifts and a stripper lol fri nite, then pole dancing, limo to the city, dinner and a club sat nite. It was an awesome time and in my opinion, i think that the price is reasonable.
For my bachelorette pary we are going to vegas, 8 of us for 4 days and it was a little under $600 pp, including hotel, airfare and them paying for me. I dont think its bad at all for a long weekend and it really depends on your BP. All the girls going ive been friends with for 20+ years and we are sooo sooooo psycheddddd about going!!!!!!! no one has complained at all about the $ and freinds that cant go i totally understand. 2 of my friends have kids and were going out in NY the following weekend. Its a time where your friends celebrate you so whatever people are comforable with should be respected. every1s situations are gonna be different.
