I'm not trying to steal from the other post but I have my own BP dillema and could use some suggestions.
My FSIL wants to plan my BP and is asking what I want to do. She had mentioned a few months ago maybe going into the city for a show & dinner which sounds good but as she also pointed out recently, also expensive, which I can totally understand. It would most likely be FHs family and work friends as my family is upstate and my friends from home are in opposite corners of the country. Anyways, any ideas for something on LI that is not too expensive but would still be fun? At this point I seriously don't even feel like having a BP b/c I can't think of anything that sounds fun for us to do and is local.

Re: Bachelorette Party help!
my sister and my mom were throwing around ideas and one of the ideas that my sis came up with was maybe getting everyone together and visiting one of the vineyards on the North Fork for wine tasting and lunch!

What is Don Juans? I just talked to FMIL about it again and she said they found out if you have at least 15 people you can see Mama Mia for $70/ticket which I feel bad like it's still too much but they think it might be ok..also there are packages you can do with a dinner at a set price ..just FYI in case anyone else needs to know.. I feel like they're reading my posts and feel guilted into it! lol

Re: Bachelorette Party help!
My bridal party is all out of town and out of state, so I have a similar dilemma, but here are a few suggestions. Cost effective too. I've gotten together with my friends here and done spa stuff at home. You can get products at Bath & Body Works, The Body Shop, etc and give each other facials, pedicures, polishing, etc. You can always throw a party at a home and have a male stripper come. This way you're in the comfort of your own home and can have as much fun as you want without having to leave. As for going out and having fun. I like the post about going out to the vineyards and going wine tasting. You can also go to some of the state parks in the area (when the weather is less cold & gloomy) and have a picnic, volleyball, soccer match, etc with your friends and family. If you are interested in seeing a show and can't afford NYC prices, try the Patchogue Theater. My in-laws go here all the time and really enjoy themselves. The go to a local restaurant that isn't too expensive to enjoy a meal! Let me know if you want any recommendations.

Re: Bachelorette Party help!
I think we are going out to dinner and then to a club to go dancing and have a few drinks. We were also thinking about going to a comedy club.

Please check out www.broadwaybox.com because they list all the available deals on different shows. It kills me when people pay a lot for tickets when there might be a good deal out there!

What about going to a comedy club? Many times they give away free tickets and all you have to do is buy 2 drinks. Then you can hit some LI bars.
