I don't think you should invite someone to the BP if they are not invited to the wedding...kind of mean.

id honestly be offended......makes me feel like...
im not good enough for the wedding and shower but u want me to fork over money to celebrate your last horrah as a single woman?? i dunno it just doesnt sit well with me...i have had this happen 2 times and i just think its wrong i wouldnt invite anyone to my bach party who isnt on the guest list

i agree and would feel so weird doing that. I mean to invite somebody to the bachelorette party that isnt invited to the wedding, it is like you said 'ok im good enough to go to your bachelorette party but not your wedding' all of you will be talking about the wedding and people just ask things like 'so do you have everything ready' and so on, meanwhile that one person will be sitting there like ok i wont be there as everybody will talk about being at your wedding ya know.

If someone isn't important enough to be invited to your shower or wedding then it's tacky to invite them to your bachelorette party.

i have many people that have gone to bachelorette parties or even bachelor parties that werent invited to the wedding and they knew that, they were just friends of the bride and groom, but not close to them and expect an invite, i have so many people going to my bachelorette party that are not invited to my wedding, they just want to come and have a good time

Well, its a weird situation. A few years ago, I was invited to a coworkers wedding. A week before the Bach. party, she came out w/me, and my other friend. They had never met before this night. They ended up hitting it off, and she asked her to come to the Bach party the following week. We both went, and then although they never met until 3 weeks before the wedding, she ended up inviting her to that also! So I guess it depends on the situation.

i do think it's rude for girls. if you're close enough to be invited for the b-party, why aren't you invited to the wedding? that's just how i feel.

but FH's brother is inviting 2 of HIS friends to FH's bachelor party who aren't invited to the wedding...but they are playing golf and they needed more guys to make even 4somes and besides, it's different w guys, they don't care.

I do...I would never do that to someone personally...and I would be offended if someone did that to me

i am so glad im not alone on this! I was waiting to see more NOs cause usualy people disagree with me LOL!

I agree. FH was actually considering this for his guy friends that he works with. I know they're guys and they probably wouldn't care, but his mom and I were like no way!!!!

I think it's very rude. If somebody invited me to their bachelorette party but not to their wedding, I'd turn it down.

I'm not sure...I mean, in general, I think it's tacky. But I was considering it myself, I admit. I live 3,000 away from where the wedding is. So, I am thinking about inviting some of my work friends even though they know they're not invited to the wedding. We have fun at work, but the wedding is small and in NY...so I don't think they'd be offended. I don't know, still thinking.

I know that some people that I just really couldnty invite wanted to still come out for my bachelorette so my MOH is giving them information. I think its fine.. bc you cant invite everyone

Tacky alert! I actually DID this ! I invited a friend of a friend to come along for the night...I didnt know her to well personally, but she'd been out when Ive been out with my friend and we've always had a good time, so I figured why the hell not! I dont think she had a problem with it at all. She just looked at it like another nite out with her girls.

depends on the situation...i didn't invite a lot of people to the shower that I didn't feel close to b/c I didn't want them thinking that I was inviting them for the gift...but, i am inviting them tot he wedding and would invite to the B-party.

Buttt...i would not invite them to by B-party if they were not invited to anything. HTH

i voted yes.. i think its tacky.. UNLESS the person is fully aware they are not invited to anything else. if that makes sense.. like i have a few people that i run into that i hang out with randomly and wouldnt invite to shower or wedding.. but if they came to the batchlorette it may be fun.. i guess it all depends on the relationship you have with
them.

I am guilty of doing this.

I didn't think it was rude because I didn't tell anyone they had to come or anything, I just put the invite out there and was expecting the majority of them to say no but since I do enjoy spending time with them, I thought if they wanted to come it'd be nice to have them there.

The reason I didn't invite everyone to come to the wedding was because I couldn't afford it. Our wedding is 99% family. We invited less than a full table of friends. I had several friends who weren't invited mention that they'd like to know what I was doing for my bachelorette party, and since I was put in charge of doing the inviting, I just kinda threw the invite out to everyone.

I didnt mean to offend anyone.

yes its definitely tacky. you should only invite people to pre-wedding events if they are invited to the wedding

you shouldn't invte any one to the pre-wedding event if they're not invited to the wedding. I would be offended, I'm good enough to go out for a night on the town and drink with you but I'm not good enough to go to the wedding!
